podunkboy Posted August 3, 2015 Share Posted August 3, 2015 May 22nd, Man Utd facing off against PSG in the Champions Final...and 6 of my starters have taken off for pre-World Cup training, including my center mid from Australia (and I'm the Australian head coach). My under 21s and under 18s have already been sent on vacation, leaving me with 8 players to fill out my 7-player bench and no back-up goalkeeper. I wouldn't even have a full squad if I hadn't called up some of my U21s for spot duty after we clinched the Premier League. I guess PSG has no sympathy as they've lost 8 of their players to the World Cup, but makes for a less-interesting final with most of the starters gone. dllu Posted August 4, 2015 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Has happened to me on several occasions as well. It is a well-known problem and incredibly annoying. Definitely something that should be fixed, preferably already for FM16. IRL of course players from clubs involved in a CL final would stay home and just join the national team a few days later.
