We beat Inter 3-1 on aggregate and then faced Arsenal............... We led 3 times in the 1st leg. We then brushed them aside in 2nd leg, for a 7-3 aggregate win. The other Semi-Final is Real Madrid v AC Milan. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Title Race Going To The Wire! Manchester United Stopsley United We beat Ipswich, Man Utd beat West Ham then played and won their game in hand against Leeds Utd. It was a poor night, how we have lost this tie so heavily (5-2 on aggregate) I just can't explain. Schalke were clinical, they scored with their first effort on target, we wasted chance after chance. Feb 2067 --- It still says applied in Job Centre, still England don't have a manager, Spain are in same situation. Player Signings We have only made one transfer signing this season, Lovric joined us in late January 2087. We continue to give youth a chance.......... We will be giving this lad some first team action. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ How is the season going? We are out of the League Cup, knocked out by Southend Utd. We won the Community Shield by beating Man Utd 2-0, we are still fighting for all other trophies. He made the step into management. In November he got his first job at struggling Tottenham. They have been struggling for a long time in this save, we might be a pile of ........ right now in real life but thankfully not this bad....yet. How is the season going for them? Pedrinho is keeping them clear of relegation at the moment. Massive stadium for a team so low down. That ended our hopes of 3 years in a row. The Semi-Finals had a very strange schedule that would never ever happen. Both games were at Wembley on same day, the kick-off times were the craziest part. Out game was at 12.30pm and Man Utd v Arsenal was at 3pm.......... just nope NO WAY! Man Utd will face West Ham in final after beating Arsenal 2-1. Next up for us is the 2nd leg against Benfica. Super Cup - WINNERS Two games into new season, two trophies as we beat Europa League winners. Opening Premier League Game! A great way to start the new campaign. Misery in Manchester! This was our 2nd defeat of the season. Current Table! Champions League A tough looking group. This is the final table............ Transfers 3 players signed, 3 players sold, some released and others loaned out. The New Signings! Rodwell is back for a 2nd spell and is a back-up in midfield. Wilson is a back-up keeper, Barata will get some game time, mostly from bench. New Contract Club World Cup Can we pick up our 3rd trophy of the season? After our success at the Club World Cup it was back to the Premier League. We beat Chesterfield & Colchester but then this disaster............ It was a strange game & the stats were shocking. Current Table! A long way to go but catching Man Utd is gonna be very hard.......... well no chance. Their striker Neil Morgan has 36 goals so is on course to beat the 62 record he set last season. We suffered 3 defeats on the bounce, that is something that hasn't happened to us since the 2081/2082 season. The 2 league defeats have ended our run of being champions, Man Utd have a big lead now, no chance of catching them. Then welcomed Benfica for the 2nd leg. We thumped them to secure a Quarter-Final spot. Back to Premier League action and well it didn't go well. Premier League Table I said the title was gone, that result has just confirmed it, we have Man Utd in our next game, a win will just leave us with an empty feeling now though. Going to finish the season off with Stopsley before I start a save with Tottenham. Former Stopsley Utd player Joe Milton returns to the club as my new manager. First game is a Champions League Quarter-Final against Man City Results so far...... We eased past Man City after a slow start saw us a goal down at half time in the 1st leg. We recorded a couple of comfortable wins in the league but had a shocker in between at Chesterfield. That wasn't the kind of performance to build confidence going into a big game against Man Utd. I felt we needed a good lead from first leg if we had any hope of getting through, I wasn't expecting it to be........ That good though, that makes it three 4-0 wins in a row at home versus Man Utd. Premier League Table The title was already done but the loss at Chesterfield allowed Man Utd to extend margin. Yeah but I have really wanted to continue with this club set-up, just over doing as Stopsley, it was good when it was my own little club but then this >>> happened in 2016. Also thought about renaming a club lower down, I have covered that with my Barry Rodon spin-off though, trying to get Spurs back to the Premier League from League Two.
