Fixtures so far-pretty pleased with all results in general apart from losing to Celtic obviously.[/img] Transfer History [/img] League Table A pretty decent first half to the season overall in general,seem to easing my way to the league 1 title with not much difficulty at all,hopefully not be long until im up where this great club belongs. forameuss Posted March 27, 2014 Share Posted March 27, 2014 This post will straddle the verge between real life and FM, but I'm always confused by the financial approach of Rangers in general, and indeed here (although less so). Basically the spending of ridiculous sums (in terms of the league they're playing in) on fees and wages when it is just not necessary. I always thought that on getting kicked down to Division 3, they would cut the budgets drastically, and go into near fire-sale mode. Bring in a few old, experienced heads to get you through the league, along with talented youngsters, then rinse and repeat on the way up to the Championship. That way they'd arrive in the Premiership with money to burn. Just seems like they haven't just missed a trick, but actively sabotaged themselves instead. Just seems an odd approach. Obviously in FM it doesn't matter as much, and the financial situation seems to work itself out in a couple of years usually in-game. What are your targets for the next few seasons? steff91 Posted March 27, 2014 Author Share Posted March 27, 2014 Thanks for your post forameuss,first of all.The finacial approach from Rangers in general is as i would say shaky.One minute you hear the finances are fine then directors and potential investors/shareholders are squabbling over minute little things,anyway getting off topic.In my save,i have kept the finances to a realistic level top earner is 10k per week and he is on a rolling contract. In my save my targets within are to get the team back up to the top league and taking the title from *****c which im very confident in doing so,making the squad and club stable,within the 4 year contract that i have with the club. The signings i have made are doing great,won the league 1 title last night with games to spare so onwards and upwards from here really.Will be posting more screenshots of my progress within the next few days due to work commitments.Hope u enjoy following my save maybe........
