The Welsh Lad
Hi, I am playing in the Dutch Premier after being promoted last season, my team is losing money and during the winter break I arranged friendlies against larger opponents to make some money (Ajax £75K, PSV £65K and Feyenoord £50K or something like that) but what I want to know is what part of the finance sheet does this income appear does it come under gate reciepts, match day income or other income). Thanks The Welsh Lad
AytchMan
Your main income from the friendly will appear in two categories: gate receipts and match day income. I'm in NI2 and the two types of income are roughly equal. Ymmv. You also incur match day expenses and fees for bringing the team in. Edited to add: Sorry, that's for home friendlies. My teams are never good enough to raise money for away friendlies.

steve-0271
is it better financially to play home friendlies or away friendlies?? ive always played away to larger reputation teams as it seems you get more money. if you were to play at home you might generate 120k however the team playing you would receive about 80k of thi, meaning you only get 40k. where as playing away to the same team you end up getting around 70k.
