RonnyDonny
I know this is probably a dumb q. But here goes: Is the nearby stadium in the DB used by the game so there aren't fixture clashes. i.e. so that say City and United or Liverpool and Everton etc won't both play at home on same weekend. naxself
I've no idea if that's the case, but I would like to know the function of nearby stadium. (I assumed it was to help out with the city's geography or something like that.)
RonnyDonny
There are Long and Latit for that I think. The reason I thought of this is because the game does pair up teams so that they would alternate home games as if they were ground sharing. Just like real life in the EPL-FL, where they pair nearby teams so that they will not play at home at the same time. Also St James' Park and The Stadium of Light are set as nearby stadiums even though they are in completely separate cities. I'm sure there are a few other examples as well. This is the only way I can see that the game can use the real life situation I mentioned before.

Sunderland and Newcastle also dont play in London on the same day too.
RonnyDonny
Yes I know, my question was: is the nearby stadium in the editor what the game uses to reflect this.
Biscotti
I would have thought it was to determine ground-sharing arrangements during new stadium builds, but if Newcastle and Sunderland are set as "nearby" then this is very likely not the case
Guest
It's to avoid local rivals playing on the same day, and probably has a bearing on groundsharing too.
