Terk
Frustrating to say the least, SnakeXe. I'm determined to keep going though. Marine will have to sack me for me to halt this attempt. Should success come my way then these struggles will just make it taste all the sweeter. Terk
Marine FC 2017-18 League 2 League Well, it doesn't get any better. Once again we started decently and five games in we were just outside the play-off zone. That was as good as it got though. We tumbled down the table unable to buy any sort of consistency, though despite a brief flirtation with the relegation zone about a third of the way into the season we were never really in any serious danger of going down. The board are of the opinion that, as I brought the club up to this point from the BSN, I'm still doing a good job, and the stature of the club is increasing as we continue to ply our trade in the football league, but I suspect I may have to get us up the table sharpish if they're to continue being happy with me as manager. League Position Graph Cups Suck arse. There's a surprise. Transfers I hit the loan market this season to try and bring some quality in, but pretty much failed to do so. Next season will be one of serious upheaval as the end of the line has come for a few players who have been features for the club over the past five or more seasons. Callum Bagshaw, Richard Adams and Byron Anthony will all be leaving when their contracts expire, so we'll have to bring in some new blood despite our precarious financial position. Terkleton's Top 3 Players 3. Risto Ignjatovski - The Danish midfielder did a decent job in the centre of the park but needs to step his game up a level if he's to continue with us. If he could find the form he had two years ago then I'd be very pleased, but seems to have gone downhill a bit since he joined us. 2. Peter Ward - I thought I'd found a gem with this one and I certainly expected more than he gave. A decent first season, but he'll need to perform a hell of a lot better next year if he's to justify the sort of wage I'm throwing at him every week. 1. Krisztián Adorján - Mostly a fringe player in the four years since he joined us, Krisztián stepped it up a level this season and performed far better than I had expected him to. Did more than enough to earn a contract extension, and I'll be looking to him for more of the same next year. Nest Season A finish in the top half and a good cup run to ease our financial worries would be nice.

crouchaldinho
Enjoying this so far Terk. I've got a feeling that next year will be your year. Not sure what I am basing that on, given the last two seasons, but I'm still putting my bet on a play-off place for next season. No pressure.
Terk
I like your confidence, Crouchy Just had my first message about a potential board takeover, which will be interesting. Though it's of the 'local businessman' variety, just once in FM I'd like a team I'm managing to get a tycoon takeover
Nobby_McDonald
Cups Suck arse. There's a surprise. Good way of thinking. Except for the FA Cup. And Europe should you ever make it.
SnakeXe
Yeah I've never had a tycoon takeover it'd be fun for a change, don't think I'd want it to happen all the time though of course.
