Lisandro Lopez
Does anyone know the Ivory Coast line-up from today? B. Copa, Demel, Touré, Zokora, Tiéné, Tioté, Eboué, Y.Touré, Dindane, Kalou and Drogba I believe. Kéita, Doumbia and Emmanuel Koné came off from the bench. Lathund
The team doctor, Mats Börjesson, is one of my teachers. Felt rather odd to see him run onto the pitch when players were down injured. Even more so as he's specialized in internal medicine, and most footballing injuries aren't really of that nature.
Standard liege!
Sven departs Ivory Coast post Sven-Goran Eriksson has stepped down from his post as Ivory Coast manager following their exit from the World Cup. Eriksson stated that it was always his plan to walk away from the job once the Elephants were eliminated, after seeing his team exit at the group stage finishing behind Brazil and Portugal despite a 3-0 win over North Korea in their final game in Group F on Friday. "It was clear when I took the job that it was until the end of our World Cup and that's today," said Eriksson, who admitted he did not know what his next move would be. "I'll stay (at the World Cup) some days looking at the football and then I'll probably go taking some holiday," he added. "Then, we'll see. I don't know - something, hopefully." As expected really
