Because of the size it would be and how long it would take to make such a database I quickly gave up on it. But with the new editor being as it is and much easier for people to make different parts of the database and bring them together I've decided to go ahead with it. Ambitious yes but I look forward to such a challenge. So if anyone is interested in helping me let me know. Same for Russia, Estonia, Belarus etc. Zaire and DR Congo are the same You have North Vietnam, South Vietnam and Vietnam Tanzania would be called Tanganyika You have listed the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Czechoslovakia Also, depending on the exact time period this is from: Thailand and Vietnam would be one nation "French Indochina" African colonialism could be in place Eritrea would be part of Ethiopia Malaysia would be called Malaya Sri Lanka would be called Ceylon Benin would be called Dahomey Territories like Faroe Islands, Northern Mariana Islands would not be autonomous Also, depending on the time when this is based, FIFA would have 40-100 less member associations Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Depending on how planning goes, on the left will be original database nations and on the right will be what they'll become. Sorry for the confusion. Grecian_03 Posted November 6, 2009 Author Share Posted November 6, 2009 Most of it, like Pakistan and Bangladesh is dependant on whether or not the same independences, annexations or splits would have taken place had there not been two world wars. Europe would certainly be much stronger, but their colonies could still have gained independence. The opposite could be said for the Soviet Union, could it have been as strong? To add to the list, Pakistan and Bangladesh would not exist, as they would be part of India. Israel and various other countries, such as Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, parts of Arabia would not exist, as they were still part of the Ottoman Empire. The Philippines would still be under U.S. occupation. The list goes on. This would be a daunting task, but seems very interesting I think what he is saying is You can't have both Yugoslavia and Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Montenegro and Macedonia if you have Yugoslavia...they all were part of Yugoslavia.
