Golc Cup Qualification doenst work

typo in the thread title....Gold Cup ofcause

I second to this they are getting team base on the concacaf  nations league . Turks most likely win there group in leave C and there are qualified directly with that instead of going to the playoff

This is still going on after the latest update. Guessing Gold Cup qualifying ends too late or something like that

Could be just that simple.

 

The Gold Cup draw is already done before the Playoff will take place.

Luckily I saved the save in the perfect moment.

Sadly Im not really an editor and cant just fiddle around with competition start dates.

Fingers crossed its just a minor bug and will get fixed asap.

I went through my save file and got these bullet points:

 

For e.g.

In November 2026 the CONCACAF Nations League ends and the team are either qualified for the Gold Cup or for the Playoffs.

In March 2027 there is an international break where you can play friendlies.

In April 2027 the Gold Cup draw happens and couple days later the Playoff draw.

 

The Playoffs draw should be happening between November and February after the Nations League.

And the Playoff needs to be played in the March break.

Then the Gold Cup draw can be done in April.

Nope it not.

I did a quick test sim until the next Gold Cup in 2025.

Simple, nobody cares about the CONCACAF.

 

I just did a quick sim, even with the new update no chance.

Wasn't something we were able to easily address without knock-ons elsewhere. The competition still runs to completion, it's just as noted there are problems with the qualifiers not reflecting what happens in the play-offs. Apologies for the inconvenience caused, this is something which will be looked at for future versions of FM. 

Is it not just the "setup date" for the Gold Cup that needs moving up? Sacrifice not having the actual draw date in exchange for the right teams.

The default tournaments are hard to edit for us, you feel that the least the devs could have done is respond to the various threads that popped up after every update raising this. Nice slap in the face for CONCACAF-based customers and others who like to play saves in the region, if this happened with the Euro it would be seen as a disaster.
