Scottish Lower League Issues

If you go to Advanced Setup when starting a new game then choose Advanced from the Approximate Player Count menu then you should be able to choose a Large database and adding Scotland to the Nations section and choosing Players based in nation should force it to load all the clubs.

These clubs probably aren't appearing as they have no active players contracted and possibly there are no players with these clubs in their playing history.

Small issue which I think is probably best suited here...

Aurélien Mazel is an unattached coach on the game who is obtainable and a decent candidate to recruit to clubs within the lower leagues of Scotland. In real life, he signed for Stirling Albion 8 years ago and has had various coaching roles there.

I just added him to my staff and was shocked to get the prompt to send him onto an intensive English speaking course! I don't know for sure but it seems like he has also lived here his post playing career so I think it's a safe bet that he is fluent!

João Baldé, Arbroath winger, requires a work permit to sign in Scotland.

He come through the Rangers academy and signed for them at 15 years old so I'd guess that he should have at the very least settled status and probably British citizenship.

Wallace Duffy at Inverness is listed as 1.73m tall. It seems this figure comes up a lot when googling but from seeing him in the flesh, he's definitely much taller than this. Maeda is also the same height according to FM and he was absolutely towering over him and looked a few inches taller in the cup final!

I'd say at least 1.83m from just guessing.

i started a save with Clyde FC in scottish league and everytime we play against a team in red there is a kit clash, this could be because there home colours have changed this season from white to red. i habe noticed that my players tab at bottom still have white shirts on but when i play teams such as spartans, bonnyrigg, hamilton and striling i cant make out which team i am and its very confusing, could you please sort this to recognise the red so there is no kit clashes

Connall Ewan of Elgin City is listed at 168cm instead of the around 186/7cm he appears to be when seeing him against his teammates (Blair Mckenzie listed at 187cm but actually 192cm from other sources and seeing him in person) and others in the league. The listed weight of 55kg will also incorrect, I’d imagine around 80kg but not sure. The wrong stats make him unplayable in game as a cb.

A few things I have noticed at Partick Thistle:

Craig Dargo is listed as a free agent in the game when, in reality, he has been at Thistle as Under-18 Manager since April and was appointed to be our Head of Youth Development in September.

Also, Mark Wilson is not in the database. He should be at Thistle as Under-18 manager, succeeding Dargo.

Milan Marinkovic, the club's Head of Medicine and First Team Sports Scientist is missing.

A few transfers/retirements are missing in some of the free-agent Scottish players.

Paul Watson (28013420) signed for The Spartans  on August 25th - http://www.spartansfc.com/2023/08/25/signing-news-paul-watson-joins-spartans/

Phil Bardsley (5107572) has retired from playing and is assistant manager to Alex Bruce at Macclesfield FC, although that's technically more of an English issue.

Chris Erskine (61026478) Has retired from playing to work in the Fire Brigade.

Daniel Steedman (20046436) needs his nationality tweaked to American from Scottish, TM has him down as being declared American but born in Scotland. In the same way, Mason McCready was born in America but considered Scottish.

Jamie Masson (61026155) emigrated to Australia from Scotland this year and needs his Based Nation changed.

Editing this again to add that Campbell Notley (61098059) has pretty much retired, has a FT job outside of football, a mate of mine knows him and his family through their sisters both playing for Hibs Women.

A few other things I have noticed that are missing at Thistle:

Steven Lawless (29041254) also signed a deal until 2026 last week, but that can be sorted in the next update, but the other two were early enough to not be missed.

Paul Watson has been sorted - he wasn't in the lineups for a number of weeks and was missing from the club website entirely until recently.

Chris Erskine has not officially stated he has retired and was playing for St Cadocs last season, however, we will keep an eye out.

As a free agent - Aurélien is part of the French database, not the Scottish one, but I will leave a note for them to update this.
