  1. On my save, I have had something similar happen where my Emmen FC player, Eric Oelschlägel is sold to Portsmouth (competing in the English Championship) after a failed work permit. At the time of this happening, he is about to turn 31 and will have no major resale value. If you need another save to investigate, I have uploaded my case to the server with the filename 'Oelschlägel-Work-Permit.fm'
  2. I just signed Cameron McJannett from Derry on my save and was shocked to see he was only 1.73m (which I didn't check before )! From Google Images, he looks a lot closer to 6ft?
  3. In my second season with Elgin City. Promotion in first and cruising the second season in League 1 with a fairly standard 4-5-1 variation which I just tweaked from the plug in tactics. Not to brag but I feel like the game might be broken after this result in the semi final of the League Cup... finished the game with 9 men against Celtic (who aren't a total shambles or anything in game and have been competent enough in Europe)
  4. Wallace Duffy at Inverness is listed as 1.73m tall. It seems this figure comes up a lot when googling but from seeing him in the flesh, he's definitely much taller than this. Maeda is also the same height according to FM and he was absolutely towering over him and looked a few inches taller in the cup final! I'd say at least 1.83m from just guessing.
  5. This isn't really any major bug but something weird I've noticed that I've not seen in FM before, I'm just flagging in case it is indicative of some other problem with AI managers. In the league I'm playing in, Scottish League 1, around 40% of the league set their substitute goalkeeper to sub number 2 rather than sub number 1. I don't see this problem in neighbouring leagues. (added screenshots and save game file)
  6. I've noticed a bug in the counting of nationality days for an existing player in the database. I believe this might be compounded by database errors but it is a bit odd as I would expect there to be some logic within the database that can detect the number of consecutive seasons for existing players. In the UK, post Brexit rules, this error risks the careers of already existing EU players as for many, it is difficult for researchers to tell if a player has citizenship or settled status (as players personal circumstances aren't public record). In my game, it is the 15th May 2024 and Arbroath winger João Baldé, is listed as having completed 1414 days within Scotland. This would suggest that the player arrived in Scotland on the 1st July 2020: However, there are 3 additional consecutive seasons recorded in Scotland before this date:
  7. João Baldé, Arbroath winger, requires a work permit to sign in Scotland. He come through the Rangers academy and signed for them at 15 years old so I'd guess that he should have at the very least settled status and probably British citizenship.
  8. Small issue which I think is probably best suited here... Aurélien Mazel is an unattached coach on the game who is obtainable and a decent candidate to recruit to clubs within the lower leagues of Scotland. In real life, he signed for Stirling Albion 8 years ago and has had various coaching roles there. I just added him to my staff and was shocked to get the prompt to send him onto an intensive English speaking course! I don't know for sure but it seems like he has also lived here his post playing career so I think it's a safe bet that he is fluent!
  9. Another small Dundee issue I noticed. On the game, Joe Shaughnessy's contract expires after one year in 2024. The official website announcement didn't make comment on the contract length but according to local press, he signed a two-year-deal. There was also lot of talk that he signed for Dundee over renewing at St Mirren due to the additional year offered at Dundee.
  10. This bug seems to involve the player happiness dynamics and results in an incorrect news item that states incorrectly that a player has left the club. I can not suggest any concrete steps to recreate this as this seems resultant to my own player dynamics. If you need further detail, I have uploaded my save game, you should be able to find these news stories fairly easily. More Detailed Explanation In the January transfer window, I made the signing of a new central defender, David Norman. This upset an existing central defender, Craig Howie, who feared that it would disrupt his game time: A week later, I sold another defender in my squad, Harley Ewen: This resolved Craig Howie's disillusion but has prompted this message where the player expresses delight at the departure of David Norman (the central defender who has just signed and remains in the squad).
  11. Apologies, I should have placed this in the Club Vision, Supporter Confidence, Manager & Staff Appointments section
  12. I understand in football managerial appointments can be very weird at times in real life but I've noticed that managerial appointments in this edition are particularly weird. I've noticed that in particular, Scotland is very bad for it. In my current game in November, top tier St Johnstone are set to appoint Jim McIntyre as manager. In real life, he was most recently sacked from Cove Rangers who at the time were a part-time side in the second tier. His reputation in the game isn't anything special and he has no special relationship to the club. Dundee, playing in the same division, have appointed Brian Rice. Rice is the manager of Alloa in League 1. Alloa are massively underperforming and in the relegation spots in League One in game. Rice has only had one other managerial stint (relegation with Hamilton in the top flight). These aren't isolated examples, there are regularly really bizarre merry-go-rounds where managers sacked at second or even third tier clubs will then be rewarded with big top flight positions. In real life, there would be regular daytime fan protests and unrest if these types of moves happened! It feels very much like managerial recruitment in the game is almost solely tracked to reputation rather than success or actual coaching promise. I also don't know if there are maybe some additional database issues where coaches who have had bigger jobs in previous editions of the game have their coaching stats still inflated and if they haven't been manually adjusted.
  13. This isn't really something new to this version but something that's really bugged me for a while... When you loan a player, it's usually the case that you need to set a position/role in advance. Very often, this is negotiable and doesn't make much impact on the fee. For example, if I sign a player who is strong at left back and left wing back, the selling team will often be happy with either preferred position and role. The thing that is silly is then months later if you tweak your tactic and your left wing back now has to play left back, it annoys the parent club to very often initiate a recall, even if practically they are playing the same role. A team who are just barely making enough money to being full-time will take into some consideration the environment they are sending players to but ultimately when a struggling part-time Elgin side who can't fill the bench are signing a player on loan from Inverness on matchday, there isn't going to be a discussion on footballing philosophies and the expectation is that the experience is about giving a young guy a taste of senior football. I understand that this is a thing in football to some degree and elite clubs will think about how their youngsters are exposed to tactics but I'd argue that the loan market is predominantly used more down the leagues. Even then, I think that sort of treatment is mostly restricted to the best of the best and players who are already ready to contribute in one of the big 5 leagues immediately. I appreciate it's a nuanced issue and hard to implement but I do certainly think it should be more sophisticated. IMO it'd be a decent compromise if this feature was limited to clubs that actively employ loan managers or even just players who are internally assessed to be super high potential (i.e. making it at a major European league).
  14. I've noticed my estimated speeds have also tanked but the actual speed feels completely fine.
  15. I have started a new game in 'Your World' mode, I have not progressed beyond season 1. For all clubs in the game, staffing changes are no longer accurately reflected in the 'Transfer History' tab for any club in the game (including my own). To recreate this error, simply start a new game in 'Your World' mode, take over a team and perform staffing changes.
