My U-18 players never play in U-18 games

I'm playing for Man Utd. My U-18 players never play in the U-18 games. The games are usually played by generated players plus a few under-18 players from my U-21 squad.

Interestingly, the same U-18 players play in U-21 games.

I use the latest FM14.

Any ideas what's going on?

Interestingly, trialists and "new intake" signed players (just a few days ago) play in U-18 team. Players signed last year don't.

Do they qualify for U18 matches?

Are they too old?

You have some of them set to play for the reserves, do they have matches around the same time?

if you frequently move players between u18 and u21 sometimes above explained ticks are being removed, just double-check before each match(if a player is being moved), I let assistant to make selection.

As a note, you can make a U-18 player available for the higher level (not first team) through those ticks as well. So you could have a young wunderkid in your U-18 squad, but make him available for selection in the U-21/Reserve side. I do this all the time to keep my Reserves (playing in Scotland right now) helping my backups stay fit (but first team squad members) and the kids separate for my own sanity.

Ok it got fixed. I moved players around to u-21 and back and checked that they have the 'tick' in the right place.

Hopefully FM15 will make this problem not possible
