robertcornell68
Playing Cambridge in the BSP, I had a player on long term lone. He did pretty well and played thirty games. When the loan ended I got a message that he thought it was a waste of time and he hadn't learn anything! I was genuinely hurt. What does a loan player want? Vic Taylor
Maybe he was from a Prem or a Championship team? Then he wouldn't think he'd learnt anything because of the differing levels in skill with the top teirs and the BSP.
robertcornell68
I think a seventeen year old AMC would learn something from playing competative matches rather than in Chelsea's youth team. (Ungrateful brat.) If not, why bother sending my young players on loan?
jammyjizz
if he was playing that well he was not being challenged very much. same way i wouldnt learn anything if i played with an under 9s team.

Yes he will have gained something from competitive football BUT he might have gained more from a year of top class training in the Chelsea youth squad. Latimerinho
The point above is true. In terms of match day experience he would have learnt a lot, but my assumption is that the reaction given is purely down to the fact his stats haven't risen much, and therefore the default comment is 'I haven't learnt much'.
