They got docked points for fielding an uneligible player, I don't think that is a good enough excuse to deduct point from Mansfield Town in FM 09. I don't know the circumstances around it, but if it was for fielding an ineligible player this season, then it shouldn't be reflected — it would not have happened in game, and the game starts prior to any of that happening. phnompenhandy Posted December 21, 2008 Share Posted December 21, 2008 I'd say it's the same logic as retro-projecting transfers made during the first transfer window to appear at the start of the game; e.g. if a player moves on August 1st in real life, he's at the new club on July 8th 2008 in FM09. If Mansfield have had the points deducted and the penalty does stay in effect, it makes no difference in real terms if the deduction begins at the start of the game or after a few rounds of matches.
