The little things...

I just received a message to say that my scout was still travelling the UK looking for players but had not found anyone worthwhile yet. I don't remember anything like this in 08.

Was it in 08?

I know it's not a biggy but there's a nice few little additions to FM09 that make everything seem smoother.

I know there's other things I've seen but I can't think what to list them.

What other great little additions have people found?

Scouts go off a-scouting all the time on '09. You don't have to send them anywhere. They go on their own initiative. I think it's good that they do.

I'd noticed this too, very nice feature and very handy as I never really bother setting scout assignments and usually send them on specific player missions.

I do like the new scouting regime it seems very useful now.

I hadn't noticed that.

Of course in my longest running game the club I was managing couldn't even afford a scout (I tried but the board kept refusing). I have scouts at Bournemouth now though.

Wow! I just found something that literally makes me grin from ear to ear.

At AFC Bournemouth the number 27 shirts has been assigned to the fans, specifically the North Stand. In previous games the number 27 shirt was up for the taking but in 09 it is pre-assigned and can not be used.

Like I said the little things are great.
