Playing offline wtf

hey i tried to play FM2009 on my laptop (installed + activated yday) offline in the car. no wifi available and that stupid program uniloc asked me for my key AGAIN because they say its expired (1day wtf?!). so obviously i cant activate because i'm in the car w/o wifi networks. then when i get to the shop and have wifi, it doesnt even ask for activation/key. that is SO frustrating.

i play through steam btw but still uniloc manages to **** me over.

seriously poor showing from SI with this activation ********. i mean like if they don't expect it to stop piracy, why do it?

anyway im posting to find solutions to my problem as opposed to moan so much. :|

It's a new feature. It stops you playing whilst driving.

Can you navigate directly to the game and launch it from there, rather than via Steam?

i.e. go to Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Common\FM2009 and double click the FM.exe

the Steam folder may or may not be hidden in a folder called Valve, not sure what the default is.

By default, as above:

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2009\fm.exe

I have to go here to play the game offline.

You could save yourself valuable FMing time and create a desktop shortcut.

i tried that. said its expired. bah
