Puffy
Im a FM fan from China. I kept playing a save of FM2007 for about 2 years Now I have a big problem. When the season 2024 my club balance is over 2,140,000,000 pounds, my finance status suddenly change to 'debt' and my balance is change to -2,140,000,000 pounds. I realized that the problem is the database of FM2007.The data type of balance column is 'Long'. The range of Long is -2147483647 to 2147483647.So thats it. I wanna know anyone can help me and whether this problem will happen in FM2009? Help Help Help~
FrazT
The game tries to reflect real life so it has calculated that a credit balance of over 2 billion is unlikley, so defaults to negative after you reach this. You will need to use one of the save game editors to reduce your balance well below the 2 billion.
Nomis07
As FrazT said, you'll need to use something like FMM to reduce your balance. In FM08 chairmen would invest funds when the club became super rich, this went some way towards reducing the chance of this happening.
chopper99
To answer your second question, in FM08 it was a lot more difficult to reach that amount of money. The club would invest money into the club and pay out more in dividends to stop you getting too much money. I expect it will be the same in FM09. homerjnick
In FM08 if you reached 1 billion the board would take some away and report to you that it is "invested" so that you would never reach 2 billion.
