Sebacid
For those of you who are scraping your heads on what kind of computer should you have to comfortably play FM2009 I scraped together a guide. These are the system requirements for Fifa manager 2009 that has got tons of graphics etc. pumped on their game, so if your computer can match these requirements, you should be 100% ok for FM2009. Most probably the minimum requirements will be lower but the recommended requirements to enjoy a full experience most probably will be pretty close to these. The official system requirementsfor FM2009 are out on monday afternoon so you can be sure then. System Requirements: - Pentium 4 2.6 GHz or equivalent (2.8 GHz in Windows Vista™) - 1 GB of RAM (2 GB in Windows Vista™) - DirectX® 9.0c Compatible 3D accelerated 128 MB video card or equivalent (must support Shader Model 2.0 or greater - DirectX® 9.0c Compatible Sound Card - MS compatible mouse - Keyboard - Please note that 16 bit colour is not supported Required Operating Systems - Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista™ SP1 Required Software - DirectX® 9.0c - Notes on Video Card Support Graphic cards: - ATI Radeon 7500 - ATI Radeon 8500 - ATI Radeon 9200, 9250 - NVIDIA GeForce FX series - NVIDIA GeForce 2 (GTS, MX, Ultra/Ti) - NVIDIA GeForce 3 (Ti) - NVIDIA GeForce 4 (MX, Ti) - Matrox Millennium (P650, P750) - Intel GMA 900, 950 - Intel GMA X3000, GMA 3000

I have a 1.83GHz processor DUAL core meaning I have 3.66GHz total right? I am confused about this dual core stuff to be honest, if someone could clarify then I'd appreciate it. dan99
With a 1.83Ghz dual core, you'll be fine. You don't have 3.66Ghz though, you have 1.83Ghz, just other things that affect performance are quicker than the old processors.

No, you just have a dual core processor that has 1.83GHz. Here is an interesting link to an article that tested the differences between single core and dual core with the same GHz: http://www.barefeats.com/dc20.html Basically I'm sure you processor will be ok for the game unless you choose a ridiculous amount of leagues and play that save for tens of years game time. For "normal" saves you should be alright. Remember that Fifa Manager 2009 has got very pumped up graphical system where as Football Manager is more simple. The combination of a single-core celeron CPU with 1gb RAM and Vista really isn't very good.

I honestly don't think those requirements on the FIFA site are true. I'm not looking to cause friction, it's just that 2.8GHz seems incredibly high to run the game - I don't know of anyone with a machine carrying more than 2.5GHz at all. r0x0r
Why do i need twiced the RAM with vista ?If it is them requirements im "cabbaged" Vista uses up a lot more ram than XP. And as the only way to upgrade from 1GB sensibly is to double it to 2, then double that to 4, it makes sense.
