men on posts

What would most of you do about putting men on posts for corners? Do you always have someone on each post, or just one, or not at all? If so which one? and how do you pick the player(s) to do it?

no, i've found it works better to have everyone man marking except one striker who stays forward and another player who closes down the corner. Select two or three tall good headerers of the ball to mark tall players

If you mean attacking corners then use:

Corner Aim: 6yrd box

Set best 2 players at heading to challenge goalkeeper.

Remove anyone from the front post and keep 1 player on the back post.

Set the rest to outside area or attack ball from deep.

Normally the best header of the ball that is set to challenge gk will score 1 in 3 chances.

Thats you opinion but i am celtic in my game and use it because mcmanus always scores from corners as does samaras lol. So not an exploit to me but adds to the realism.

You must be joking right? What's realistic about a centre-half scoring 30 goals every season?

LOL, well he doesnt score about 30 in real life but about 7 or 8 is average i would say, not counting european goals.

dont use 2 players to challenge GK... coz that mean u have an extra opposition defender marking u... and 2 more players blocking ur way to goal !

I don't see how using the 6 yard "trick" as you put it is a cheat or belittles success. How many super keepers, 1 shot 1 goal losses, and various other "tricks" does the AI use?

i usualy have one with good heading on the near post and good anticipation on far post

I've noticed that it's always my full-back who go on the posts at corners, and they always go on the post that's the opposite side of their position. For example, my left-back goes on the post on the right-back's side, and vice versa. I can't figure out why.
