Travelling Players didn't make it? Then not in the main draw?

Whilst managing New Zealand it came down to my World Cup 2010 play-off against Iran. The first leg was in Wellington yet my players from the Wellington Phoenix didn't make the match in time despite it being in their city and the european based players made it fine. This was most of the squad as they're the only professional team in the country! Well no surpises we got thrashed. Seems to be a fault with the International management in general I think?

Next up when in charge of Australia - I won all six qualifying games for the 2011 Asian Cup but when the draw was made we weren't in it? Gutted.

Hope the next edition of the game can sort these faults out. Any ideas why anyone?

Wow. Didn't know that not making it to the match was even an event in FM'08. Maybe the Phoenix players did some hardcore partying the night before and couldn't get it together the next day? Crazy Kiwis.

I have never heard of players not making it to the match, same as dankrzyz i didn't know it could happen

I had this in a game where i was managing Ivory Coast on 8.01, think i just got told that it was a known issue and would be worked on for 8.02.

Thoma, where did you get your copy of the game?

Also, are you playing with the 8.0.2 patch, or an earlier version?
