radicell
Why is the game so keen on displaying "AFC" in a team's short name? For example, I got the following teams teams (full names displayed): Salisbury City AFC Wimbledon Nuneaton Borough AFC Telford Halesowen Town Chelsea FC Arsenal FC In the tables and during matches, I see "Salisbury.. Nuneaton.. Halesowen.. Chelsea.. Arsenal." The City, Borough, Town, and even FC's have been removed. So why does the game display "AFC Wimbledon" instead of Wimbledon? AFC Telford instead of just Telford? AFC Hornchurch instead of just Hornchurch?
phnompenhandy
All those clubs are re-formed clubs. Telford and Hornchurch went out of business and new clubs were formed with 'AFC' as suffixes. You probably know the Wimbledon > MK Dons story, hence the formation of AFC Wimbledon.
Scotty Walds
Wimbledon FC are now Milton Keynes Dons FC. AFC Wimbledon are legally a separate entity from both of them
