ung_kung
this is the first year (2020) that i'm in the series for my reserved team, it is look like UCL for reserve team. so my question is what is the qualification or how to apply for it. http://i.imgur.com/NzgVi.png TIA
mlindquist43
Its all selection, or at least it is for the first season of 2011-2012. As far as I am aware is it an invite tournament. CPU must just select the better reserve teams for FM
Able.Ryder
Teams are invited, so you cannot apply for the tournament. I think teams are invited based on both senior and U19/Reserves teams results.
milnerpoint
Yeah i think its tied into your main team doing well and your under 19's winning either the cup or the league, i cant figure out exactly what, my Aberdeen youth team has won it twice now but i cant seem to figure out what is important for them to qualify. Able.Ryder
The season after I failed to win the CL my U19 team was not invited for the E U19 tournament, although I won all the national trophies and the juniors did the same. So, my first guess is that you have to win the CL, but this cannot apply to the other 7 teams in the tournament
milnerpoint
Nah it must be something more than that, i have seen other Scottish teams qualify for it, and none of them are close to winning the champs league. We need some SI input here!
edgar555
Spurs are in the NextGen from the first year in game. This is clearly just the first time you've noticed. It's an invite only tournament. AFAIK in game the teams entered do not change from the original line ups. Full RL entry list here: http://www.nextgenseries.com/en/Clubs
Super Bladesman
I've seen my Blades side get in to the NextGen series in season 4 or 5, once I'd established great facilities and a successful team (at all levels).

edgar555
Well I've never done more than 2 seasons so haven't seen it change yet. But Spurs are definitely in it from the beginning.
Piethief100
I've never seen or heard of this before. Does the series show up as the "NextGen" series without an unofficial download?
milnerpoint
Yup its in the game as standard, you wont notice it at all unless you keep an eye on your youth team and they are involved, first i saw of it was when a result came up and i wondered why my under 19's were playing West Ham's under 19's (West Ham were taken over by a tycoon in my game and are now the dominate force in England)
edgar555
Milner's right, it is in from the beginning, however unless you have edited the names (or have downloaded a fix) it will be called something like 'U19 Euro champions league'
Piethief100
unless you have edited the names (or have downloaded a fix) it will be called something like 'U19 Euro champions league' Ahh, this is what was confusing me. Thanks.
pattonbhoy1
the only way you get in the NextGen Series is if you have a state of the art youth academy/system thats why its only certain teams for its first year.
