milnerpoint
yes, they have to be residing in a country, which basically means living there, leaving to go on away games or international games do not count as technically they are still living in the country. robzilla
how many days is the limit of traveling abroad ? Different countries have different rules but I really don't think FM goes into that much detail. As far as the game is concerned, a player is domiciled in the country where the club he plays for is. So, if a Chinese player is contracted to Man Utd, he is domiciled in England and every day he stays at the club he will add a day to his total days in England. If he goes out on loan to a Royal Antwerp, he will stop accumulating days spent in England and start accumulating days spent in Belgium. When he returns to Man Utd at the end of his loan period, he will continue accumulating days in England. Travelling abroad for away matches does not have any effect at all. bolulu
To be resident in UK means you must not by out of this country for more than a certain number of days every year. The limit is really quite high, so attendance to foreign away games, plus the players holdays abroad would be very unlikely to affect this residency requirement. For the UK, if you are out of the country for more than half the year, you are not resident, i.e. 183 days or more. Other countries may vary.
