Football_Manager08
Was playing the game fine last night but today i've had random crashes throughout the day. Where should I send the crash dump?
Football_Manager08
This is a joke now. It's just crashing with no crash dump or anything. Just exits the game by itself.
FrazT
That sounds like a computer issue rather than a game issue. Is it a laptop or desktop- is it overheating?
Football_Manager08
No. It's nothing to do with my computer. Every other game I have on my computer works flawlessly. It's the game. And no, my computer is not overheating. I built this myself and the temperatures are fine.
Wakers
It's either a hardware issue or a corruption issue, it's as simple as that. If it were a problem with the game it would be happening to a lot more people - i.e. nearly everyone, or everyone with a certain make of graphics card / processor. Football_Manager08
All my drivers are upto date, all the games I have on my computer run fine. This game is not resource demanding at all compared to some other games. If it was my computer then the other games I have wouldn't function properly. People say this all the time but it's just not the case. Football Manager will be one of the most Processor intensive games on the market, so it could easily be something processor related - or again some files may have become corrupted. It would be helpful if you posted the error message.

It really isn't. There is no error message most of the time. It just comes up with a crash dump message saying that the crash dump has been saved. There should be a sticky in the technical support forum explaining what to do with crash dumps.
Football_Manager08
And, for sure it isn't my processor. I've run prime95 on it, the most intensive proccessor application to date and it works fine. - and no I haven't.
xdoomriderx
Is it a blue screen crash? Is it a crash from the game? Does it tell you where the dump file was saved?

Football_Manager08
No, it is not a blue screen error. Yes, it crashes to desktop and I looked and found the crash dump is saved in My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football manager 2012/crash dumps
Wakers
Then you have to find the Sega support link to open up a ticket.

Football_Manager08
Then you have to find the Sega support link to open up a ticket. Would rather have a refund to be honest. Complete joke at the moment.
Wakers
Bit harsh that. It'll be a simple error. Open a thread in the PC support forum and it'll get a mods attention quicker. While you're waiting - Open Steam Access your games library Right click on FM12 > Properties Select 'Local Files' tab Select 'Verify Game Cache' and 'Defragment game cache' Then try running the game again. I can confirm that it's a game v system error. About 20-30% of people are having the same problem. You said that percentage in your other thread. I'd love to see the poll you took which provided you with those stats.

Don't be daft, it's nowhere near that many, the entire forum would be flooded with it.
