Some Guy!
Really, my Stromsgodset side don't own their stadium, and yet for the second time my board are paying to expand the damn stadium! I didn't think that this was possible.
mrstef
Have you tried asking the board to buy the stadium outright?
Some Guy!
Yep, they refused... about 6 times now. But hey, they can't buy the stadium, but hey... Why not plunge us into debt by upgrading it?!
mrstef
Hmmm that doesn't make much sense to me Just keep asking, it will be worth while if you do eventually buy the stadium
RBKalle
But does owning/not owning the stadium make a difference in FM? I have never checked that, but is "stadium rent" a standalone cost, is it part of "non-football costs" or something?
mrstef
It might not make a difference. Im not sure on that but for me, owning a stadium feels better than renting Its more mental for me than anything else
Slawbawn
Is it owned by another club, or by their local council? It's the same IRL for Swindon, our stadium is owned by the local council but we plan to redevelop it before long, and it will be the club paying for it. Although I suppose there's a chance Swindon will buy the County GRound
