nibu
Hey Folks! Today I have found an DVD version of FM2011 on Amazon with a Linux client - http://www.amazon.com/Football-Manager-2011-Linux/dp/B00486F0GG . I would love to purchase it immediately but want to be sure that this is not a mistake by amazon. Is Linux supported in FM2011 ? If there is no Linux support, are there any plans for supporting Ubuntu/Linux in near future? Cheers, nibu

bigdanio
Possibly, but only when a large number of people are using it. At present, SI will feel that the people using Linux will be able to run PC based programs on it. I managed to get FM2009 working via Linux and most people I know have a dual boot system. nibu
I hope we will get a Linux version of FM2012. Sadly FM2011 does not work on Linux with wine anymore.

tom_numbers
I think a moderator or someone has said before that the percentage of people using Linux isn't high enough to justify it yet.
JGM
would love a linux version, could get rid of the windows partition on my pc but it isnt likely to happen anytime soon. the last version i had working well was fm08 using WINE, it doesnt run the 3d match engine tho
nibu
I don't have a Windows partition only for playing games and wait for FM for Linux. I hope we will get Steam for Linux soon - with it it will be very easy to deliver games for Linux - can't wait anymore
