Board request to become a professional squad

I'm wondering if I encountered a bug. I'm FC United and after a very successful season that saw me crush the BSN in my second season, I made a request to become a professional squad. My request was accepted and I believe the board stated I'd become a professional club at the beginning of the next season. Well, I'm already into December in my new season and I just remembered to check on this and my team is still semi-professional.

Could someone that has made this request tell me how it usually goes? I'm assuming I was supposed to get an email about it at the beginning of the year. I wonder if I lost out on gaining some team rep because of this as well. Very odd, I think. I don't want to have to edit it myself with FMRTE, but I might have to if the option is now borked.

Your status changes at the start of a new season. Depending on the timing, your request may have been made too late and it will happen in the next close season.

I think it's a bug. Waited for 2 seasons with my Vauxhall Motors after I had been promised to get a professional status - nothing happend as if the board had forgotten about it for good.

What division were you in? I think you definitely get pro status when you get promoted to League 2.

Being promised and it actually happening is two different things.

Aytumious has stated that the board has said they will switch to professional.
