Roman Chevalier
I can't see how to do this, when i want a player, i just want to tell the chairman to go get him and see what he comes up with, rather than having to negotiate price and contract myself, as this is not really what managers do anymore. More input from the chairman on such matters would be nice, although if you ask them for extra funds to buy a player they will sort it out either way, but i just want the option
Ian2oo9
You can have your assistant do it in Team Settings Edit: Sorry I just read properly, I thought you meant contract renewals, not for new players!
llama3
this is why i have asked for a while now to have an option to be "head coach" or "manager" with the head coach having a director of football to do that stuff for him.
Roman Chevalier
It makes total sense for us to have the option to leave all transfer negotiations/new player contract negotiations to the board. Can't think why it's not there but still. Atleast let's have the option, because hardly any manager will actually negotiate a player transfer fee/contract. pb1uk
Yea you can do it. There should be option to the right of the offer screen, but it only appears in certain cases. I did it. I'm Stockport County and an agent approached me with a brilliant player who was at least League One if not Championship standard. I could just afford him, but couldn't manage the wages so I asked the board who initally refused. I argued the case and they made an offered and negotiated the contract and signed him for me, was brilliant, excellent new feature! He's been banging them in ever since! bigdanio
Director of football wouldn't do contract negotiations, nor would a manager. This would be dealt with by the board, but we like ultimate control so features like this will never be removed.
