Bristol CityFC1981
Im looking to get a new laptop next couple weeks! Would FM run well in this spec... CPU and Memory: AMD Athlon X2 dual core P320. 2.1GHz processor speed. 3GB DDR3 RAM memory. 250GB SATA hard drive. And what difference would going down down to 2GB RAM make??? Cheers
rich10
For FM 2011 I suspect it would make a noticeable difference. What GPU is included?
SWaRFeGa
I would recommend you go UP to 4GB rather than down to anything. But 3GB should be fine.
iAmGory
512mb minimum for FM2010 running XP iirc (although its not fun, tried on the Missus' 5 year old laptop. Does run though!). 3gig is more than I have in my desktop system until I upgrade next month and it runs everything under about 16-18 divisions at 4+ stars speed. GPU is the question but likely will be fine for FM tbh. Just dont try Crysis.

Tim_Cdy
You do have a GPU aka Graphics Processing Unit. Tha's your ATI card, but it is likely to be lacking in Crysis as pointed out, but that game has fried GPU's before. In this case, that should be fine. However, you could do with more VRAM to give you some headroom.
trekman
I would recommend you go UP to 4GB rather than down to anything. But 3GB should be fine. Remember though that if you do go up to 4gb ram make sure that you have a 64bit operating system installed.

Tim_Cdy
Three Gig in this is this Lappy is probably Tri Channel populating three dimm slots which is probably how many this has. Speccing new RAM may well not be worth it and they will have to SODIMM X2 sticks @ 4 Gig
