McNeils, I don't know where you're going for your computer, but you should at least check out http://3btech.net/. Check out their barebones kits as well as their fully built systems. If you do, I would suggest going to http://www.newegg.com/ or somewhere similar for your graphics card and then wherever you can get the best price for your monitor. My family and I have bought our last 5 computers from 3btech. I've not found a better place online to go for desktops.

If you're looking for places to go for advice about hardware, you can't look much further than http://www.tomshardware.com/us/. I would recommend looking through their graphics card roundups and their gaming graphics charts.

If you don't mind me asking, how much are you going to pay for that system? I bought a system about a year ago with a: E7300 2.7 GHz dual core, 4 GB DDR2, Radeon HD4670 1GB, 500GB Western Digital SATA, and an LG 20" widescreen for around $500. Feel free to hit me up if you have any other questions.

Have a pop over to the Guru3D forums. Should be able to part out a rig for you if you set a budget. You can PM me personally if you like and i'll give you a bit of advice.

I'm not sure what Brian Shanahan is talking about with that GPU though, the 7050 is not a gaming card at all. It's good for browsing the web at the most, so his definition of running fallout 3 on it is up for debate. It's beyond low-end, i'd rate it a 1.

Dont expect too much from this computer. Its pretty much the lowest spec you can find if you are ignoring the atom based nettops. If you dont have a lot of money perhaps it would be wiser to look at some used computers. You can get a much faster computer for the same amount of money with a proper gfx card. I didnt even know you can still find 7050 based computers in the shops.
