Whirlwind
2 legged contest at this stage of the competition yes? I just made it to the final on away goals. I went to the fixture to check the rules and it says if scores are level after 90mins, we go to ET (which we did, 3-2 on the day, 3-3 agg). After which, if the scores are still level on aggregate (which it was, 4-3 OTD, 4-4 agg), it goes to penalties. This is the way I remember it too. Did something change and they forgot to reflect it in the written rules at the fixture list, or is it a bug?
robertcornell68
The game's right, I think, away goals only kick in after extra time in the League Cup.
aaron1606
Semi-finals The four quarter-final winners compete in this round. The ties are played over two matches (one at each club's stadium), with the aggregate score being used to determine the winners. If the aggregate scores are level at the end of the 90 minutes, extra time is played. If the scores are still level at the end of extra time, the team which has scored more away goals goes through. If the number of away goals is still level, a penalty shootout is used to decide the winners. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_League_Cup#Semi-finals
dafuge
Here are the rules from FM, you can see that it states that away goals are used after extra time.
Whirlwind
My bad. Went straight to the last line under Rules and saw penalties. They did state away goals two lines above. Oops.
