Strikeb4ck
I am trying to sign Marco Verratti, who is 16, turning 17 Nov5, 2009. I have been unable to sign him in previous games, where I have tried to give him a full time contract rather than a youth one, but I don't know if that's because he accepted offers from "more prestigious clubs." So, am I supposed to give him a youth contract? Or do I offer him a professional deal with the money as an incentive? Or can anyone who has signed him tell me what they did? Tim_Cdy
What club is he at?
ssestig
It could be that he has already signed a pro deal that starts on his 17th birthday.
dafuge
It might be worth waiting until he turns 17 before trying to sign him as players seem more willing to move clubs once they are fully pro.
heathxxx
What club is he at? Udinese. I've got him on loan with Granada C.F. in Spain. Udinese are my parent club. As for signing him, pretty much what ssestig & dafuge said. He could well have already agreed a pre-contract, making it very unlikely you'll be able to sign him. When he turns 17 he will obviously be contracted to the club, in which case a transfer fee will be required, rather than compensation.
phnompenhandy
Shouldn't it say in the contract or transfer screen if he's agreed to sign a professional deal when he turns 17?
Hilly0907
i signed him at the start of the game for newcastle and i just offered him a professional contract and he accepts it straight away, you should be able to get him doing that
