Chocapik
I play with almost all leagues and it's alot faster than my old computer. Although my old computer was a P4 2,4Ghz that crawled with 5 leagues.
Andy83
I noticed a small speed increase going from a Core 2 E6400 to i7 940 but i also upgraded the ram to 6GB ddr3 from 4GB ddr2. The game shows i'm running more cores in settings.

iAmGory
i5 here. Took the plunge off the back of an AMD X3 with 2gig of ram, hopping to Win7 with 6gig ram. Yes I noticed a huge difference, but it's obviously many things combined > new Cpu/3x ram and new motherboard combined with dropping Vista for Win7. UELLfan
Same story here. From desktop AMD Athlon 3800+ x2 64 bits with 3Gigas DDR2 @667 to mobile i7 QM720 with 4 Gigas DDR3 @1333. Noticeable change? Indeed. And I even haven't turned on turbo mode as I play it mostly unplugged whilst commuting or at places where it's difficult to plug.
