psucolonel
Is it a good idea? or is rest more the order of the day?
Vic Taylor
In pre-season you should focus on heavy fitness and strength training.
Johnjo
it is seriuosly the most important time of the year to train, while on holiday the players attributes will go down and when they return they will get a major boost in whatever attributes you train them in, a lot more than in-season training, i don't necisarily cocentrate on strenght and fitness though as i want other important attributes to get this boost as well
phnompenhandy
Do you mean pre-season or off-season. I saw one thread where the guy prevents his players from ever going on holiday during the summer and keep training them. Would like to know the long-term effects of that. How can you stop them going on holiday? i thought that was an automatic thing.

I think he arranged friendlies with foreign clubs in leagues who play over the summer, or something like that.
robertcornell68
I think he arranged friendlies with foreign clubs in leagues who play over the summer, or something like that. I would have thought that was a recipe for constant injury problems. Friendlies are for getting peak fitness. I personally don't have any specific pre-season schedule.
