Player to staff..

How do i offer a player who is nearly retirement to join and become a staff of my club? is there any pre-staff contact thingy?

Eventually there will be a side bar thing in his profile that says staff attributes that is when you can offer him a contract

At what age does this appear? I keep getting messages from my backroom staff to tell Jamie Carragher that he'd make a great coach and yet when I do this all he says is that he'd rather concentrate on playing.

It all depends if the player wants to stay on as footballer, once they hit 30 I think is the age, they start making suggestions to thier future plans, it's up to you to persuaid them to stay on and in what role via interaction.

Not all players stay on though, and you have to wait before they announce thier retirement before they show staff attributes! (if wanting to remain)

No it is a release claus if other clubs want the player as a coach.
