No option to choose patch version

Previous FMs, whenever you start a new game an option will appear asking you whether to play which patch or database..However, my FM10 doesn't do that, after i installed patch 10.1 and most recently 10.1.1...It loads straight into the game wizard...Anyone experiencing similar problem?

There's no major DB updates in the 10.1 or 10.1.1 patches, and so there is only the original database. Come the patch in Feb. (ish) there'll be, presumably, another DB to choose from.

With the change to one DB and a number of XML files for edits for this year, the approach to data updates may be different this year - we'll have to wait and see.

Funny how every year they charge you for an annual game and yet it's only by February you actually get a version that's half playable. Bit like hiring a car in October for a year but you don't receive they tyres until February!!!
