Fixture congestion to ridiculus levels

I am currently playing as sunderland in the EPL and I have to play 3 games in 5 days so thats match, day off, match, day off, final match surely this shouldnt happen isn't there a rule against playing fixtures so close together IRL I asked on the bugs forum if this was a bug but got no reply so just wondering if this is possible but rare.

I think it is possible, im pretty sure that both man u and arsenal have had to play games like that (the middle game being an FA cup or league cup game, rather than 3 EPL games together)

I know its slightly different, but I had a play around with the competition editor in my game and put in 2 extra cup competitions (a UK wide knock out and a european knockout) and I created such fixture congestion that I played 3 games a week for the last 3 weeks of the season...

How did you have players left mine are dropping like flies and they are all low condition after those games.

happends irl almost over european week with the europa league, some teams are playing sunday (league), tuesday (league), Thursday (europa) and again on saturday/sunday in the league. Dont see it as being a bug just, as you said, a bit of fixture congestion.

3 games in 5 days is hardly a ridiculous level of fixture congestion. In past versions of the game, I've had it far worse than that

In fairness, I've seen screenshots of people playing in leagues with more games (Championship, League One) and having to play eight or nine games in eight or nine days. Yes, that's absolutely no recovery period whatsoever.
