kslee5
ok....here i try to sign someone, his current wage is 150k/week at his current team, but the maximum wage my board allowed me to pay a key player is only 140k/week how can i increase my wage budget on a single player? my total wage budget is still way below the allowed one, but i cant offer more than 140k/week for a single player
phnompenhandy
It's up to the board. Possibly by moving the slider to reduce transfer budget and increase wage budget, it might have an effect, but probably not. Otherwise you have to persuade the player with various clauses. And of course make sure you've offered him key player status.
kslee5
already offered him key player status, give him max of everything (appearence, goal and wage increase) but he just wont come i tried to reduce transfer budget and increase wage budget, but no effecT :S
dirtyscarab
There's always got to be a cut off point between what a club can afford and what it can't and unfortunately you're hitting that cut off point now.
kslee5
but then i am still way below my wage budget.....way way way way......
dirtyscarab
I understand that totally, but a club will say "We will not pay ANY player more money than X amount per week" They implement this limit because if you offer Player A a massive sum, Player B will want the same and it will escalate... kslee5
hm...i see....true thanks just hope can do something on that, or else no way i can capture ribery :S
dirtyscarab
Keep an eye on him. Hopefully next season your wage limit will go up if you do well in the league, and maybe you'll be able to afford him... Not much else you can do I'm afraid Good Luck

nbrethe
Have you offered the maximum bonuses aswell? And a stupidly higfh (200m) release clause? That used to work for me
cplpeters1900
Hasnt Mike Ashley put a 30,000/week wage budget per player on new signings if the magpies get promoted?
phnompenhandy
And ' Arry Redknapp was saying they didn't sign Horseface because his wage demands would be way in excess of the club's policy. How ironic!
