Its seems that players in FM 2009 have such longevity because there ratings as Carlos Vela shows in your picture do not seem to deteriorate as rapid as in real life. With many International players gaining 100 caps with ease when in real life this is a great milestone. Mexico do play many games and with relatively poor opposition in their continental qualifiying format, and Gold Cup etc, but take nothing away from that goal scoring record!!!
