jekcen
basically whenever I try and play my game whether I access it from steam or not it doesn't come up, and if I try again, it says it's already running. I've started up task manager, and it only shows up as a process which I end, and I've even tried starting it up from task manager, and it all end sup the same. resetting the computer doesn't help either, and I've gone to steams website whose technical support page has been just as useless as this one. If any one could tell me how to overcome this problem I'd appreciate it.
m-platt
Sorry to hear that, might be a really stupid question but does your computer meet the minimum requirements for the game?
ChewyFun
Do you have "FM.exe" in you Processes list? If so, 'end' that process and try opening the game again. Hope that helps

m-platt
Trying the patch again may help. I had a couple of problems re-installing a while ago and I think I had to re-confirm the registration code, not certain though I'm afraid. Sorry I cannot be of more help

m-platt
There is a known problems at the top of this forum, plus any technical help to look there first. I have just checked and it says; You launch the game via Steam and nothing happens Please raise a support ticket at the Valve website: https://support.steampowered.com/ Maybe try that as they are the experts in this field

Administrators Neil Brock Posted March 12, 2009 Administrators Share Posted March 12, 2009 May be worth trying this: I want to play the game without using Steam but cannot find the desktop icon You can play it without loading up Steam by doing the following: Go to C: Program Files - Steam - Steam Apps - common - Football Manager 2009 Inside this folder you will find the FM09.exe Create a shortcut here, and drag it onto your desktop The game will now work without running steam - make sure Steam is NOT already running when you do this. Can I uninstall steam and run it like that? I got Steam solely for FM09 and I'm not a fan of it at all.
