Try this:

You are receiving the error: ‘This application has failed to start because saAuditMD.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem

Fix: Please download the file from here and place in the following folder: C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009

http://downloads.sigames.com/download/saAuditMD.zip

Put it in C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\football manager 2009 instead of where it says above though.

Express means the default settings will be chosen. Advanced means you can choose the settings. So you only go with advanced if you want to change things like where the game is going to be installed, if you don't want a desktop shortcut and things like that.
