We started like this > This added to last season's slump left me very frustrated, my mouse ended up falling victim to my frustration lol Add to this my star man Dan Andersen was unhappy and I feared losing him, not that anyone has even shown interest in him, not even when he was on a month to month rolling contract lol I started looking at other saves and was even contemplating starting again but on full game, anyway after a little break playing another save I loaded this up again and the interest was back, decided I will abandon my self-imposed transfer policy. I will still have a self-imposed transfer rule, it will just be a basic rule.. Max 4 signings per window. No age limits Anyway back to our results...... after that terrible start the first half of the season was very poor. We were looking at a relegation battle. You will see from that, that we turned things around. Oh yes, the 2nd half of the season was like this... Just incredible and to be honest I don't know why things went from terrible to outstanding. I haven't changed my tactics, only made little tweaks but that is just players roles but I have been doing that all the time anyway. So final table looked like this... It looked like we were going to come up short as the match was passing us by. We eventually found the form that had seen us rise to the play-offs. It then looked like it was going to extra time but Andersen then had a late chance to put us through, he didn't let us down, even better as he completely sealed it. We now face Wealdstone in the Semi-Finals. Just hope I don't get beaten up. This proved to be a lot easier than I expected, we took the lead when Anthony Hudson's shot hit the post and went in off the keepers back, Laycock soon made it 2-0, a nice lead but never totally comfortable, especially with so much time left in the game. Anyway the manager is a genius Pollard was sent on to put the tie to bed. We would play....................... We beat them 3-2 in the recent league game at home. We beat them again, we had only beaten them once in 12 meetings and now we have 2 wins in a row, now we are in the semi-finals and we face... We won the battle,. only just but we stay up, we lost our last 2 games so it was a case of other results going our way, a tough season, obviously would have like it easier. JOB DONE THOUGH! We have now added Whitstable as an affiliate club. ________________________________________________________ We bring in our quota of players in the first window spending £27k. Even though I have opened the signings up to no age limit I am still keen on making most signings under the age of 25, so they have a chance of being at the club for a substantial part of their careers if things go well and we can keep hold of them. Budget News I have purchased £10m for my club, I know people will be against this but as it is my create-a-club save I want to invest some money. I know FM21 is coming soon but I have no intention of taking this game on to that version, I am now in Season 11 with this and I will continue with this save for a long time yet, my aim is to play for as long as my FM10 & FMC15 saves with Stopsley Utd, they were 50 and 64 seasons. Not saying I won't buy FM21, not decided either way yet, not saying no as I have said that before only to give in and have to give them a go. Anyway back to the budget........ So yeah so far I have pumped £200k in to the clubs finances. I don't intend to go mad with cash boost, this £10m will have to last us and help us reach the Premier League. It will have to be invested wisely, not going to use it so that I bring in a load of players and then just do like 3/4 back to back promotions and race up to the top flight, I did the cash boost with Stopsley and got the club into trouble a couple of times, think we went into administration at least twice, one of those occasions was in PL and the 12pts deduction cost us a title. NOTE: You will notice National Management & No Work Permits in that screenshot. National Management - That was unlocked after completing Season 10 and is automatically applied. No Work Permit - Not even sure what unlocks that. It will not be getting applied to game anyway. These are the only DLC I have applied, the son has gone from game now, I have no interest inadding other things like permits, magic sponge etc etc, so they will never get applied. A 2 year contract, no big deal as no sacking anyway. Job offers continue to come in. This was a big offer and would be a massive step up. 500 GAMES! It wasn't looking good early on but Mansfield are higher up in League Two. That got us a tie against League One side Huddersfield, we drew 0-0 away. So that got us this....... and we pulled off our greatest result so far. We actually pushed for a play-off spot, came up short in the end but only just short. This combined with a trip to Wembley made for a great season, although we lost out in both it was so much better than we were expected to do. Bolton lost out in the play-offs, they played us at Wembley between their play-off games. Promotion or FA Trophy? They were then not future signings, so we have agreed deals again. What is going on? EDIT - Mystery solved I now know what happened thanks to checking some screenshots. Nuneaton game got postponed to 1/4/2032, so I agreed those deals then I quit game, when it prompted me to save I clicked no as I thought I had. Because I am using 4-4-2 for now I signed this right back. Ingram joins on a free from Aldershot. I had high hopes for Wallace when we signed him, so far nothing special though. We took a beating in our final game but we were comfortably away from the relegation battle this season, had enough of being in the bottom half. The game only has him as an Icon, he is a club legend simple as, how can a club that has no legends not regard him as a legend?
