Congratulations, @JaytheGreat. Wolves are flying on all fronts, although the League Cup loss on penalties must’ve been a kick in the teeth.

Great wins against Man Utd and Tottenham must give you confidence and looking strong in your European Group too.

It really was, we should have won it. Definitely proud of the results against Tottenham and Man Utd, in fact that's 2 straight seasons we've got the Tottenham manager fired after losing to us. But now Zidane takes over and my record against him is not great.

2-0 ( Gomez, Calaveiro)

Wolves-Chelsea2.thumb.jpg.445222b13db3d3b9a2c47ccf69931720.jpg

We continue our great run of form against the Blues. Gomez squeaked in a header past the post and Calaveiro ripped their hearts out in the 69th minute. The whole team played a very solid game and I couldn't be happier.

Europa League Group Stage 2-2 ( Jota x2)

Wolves-Kyiv2.thumb.jpg.84b82cee2aba945cae6c7ae1007c5ad1.jpg

The team from Austria refuses to go down without a fight. A back and forth game were they made the most out of their limited chances while outside of Jota we did not.

0-1

Wolves-Arsenal4.thumb.jpg.1a215174452d192b8f38146320b38bac.jpg

Our first loss comes at the Emirates and we deserved to lose. Only 4 shots totally and one on target was just sad. Their defense and midfield really took over the game and Bellerin slashed through our defense to find their striker all alone in the box for the only score.

1-1 (Gibbs-White)

Wolves-Everton2.thumb.jpg.faecaf559f218edb9f281948db78c9d9.jpg

Everton has talent but just can't pull it together. Academy product Gibbs-White scored first and Theo Walcott tied it 5 minutes later. It was a pretty back and forth type of game that wasn't that interesting.

Europa League Group Stage 7-1 (Skov Olsen x4, Gomez x2, Woodburn)

Wolves-Sporting2.thumb.jpg.8e4a53e7214e9e74d373d5ba5768b19f.jpg

Olsen sure loves his non Premier League games as his Texas size hat trick sums up this monumental beat down of sporting. Honestly I expected a lot more from the Portuguese team. All in all it was a pretty solid month, we lost our first Premier game but that was bound to happen some time. With the blow out win we guarantee finishing number 1 in our Europa League group. We have a jammed pack schedule next month so hopefully our good form continues.

1-1 (Gibbs-White)

Wolves-Norwich.thumb.jpg.ca15edfb52fc7d5eb9b5b2923fd4bb76.jpg

It certainly took us long enough but Gibbs-White provided the equalizer in the end. We were the better team but lack of finishing meant we had to squeak out a draw.

7-3 ( Jota x3, Costa x2, Gomez, Saiss)

Wolves-Cardiff2.thumb.jpg.cd88b1d74182f78a92247cc4b52a0af4.jpg

2 7 goal games within the last 3 game, only this time Diogo Jota that was the catalyst. Jota finished with 3 goals, and 2 assists which is a pretty great game. We dominated every phase of the game and I'm very happy with the win.

3-3 ( Dendoncker, Moutinho, Gomez)

1925947914_Wolves-CrystalPalace2.thumb.jpg.a5814ce293ff9445f513a362076598e5.jpg

I have no idea what's up with Crystal Palace, they have a ton of talent but just can't seem to put it all together. A Fergie time goal came back to bite us, as Crystal Palace scored a dagger in the 95th minute to sneak out with a point. Dendoncker had a beautiful floating goal from outside the box in a game that turned out to be very entertaining.

Europa League Group Stage 1-0 ( Woodburn)

Wolves-Vienna.thumb.jpg.4075d4703cee28fb7af93ee65c76eeae.jpg

Once again I have to give credit to the scrappy Austrian outfit as they played us very well. Loanee striker Ben Woodburn got the only goal from a nice cross from Calaveiro. I'm excited to go through the Group Stages without dropping a game and I can't wait to see who we get matched up with next.

2-1 (Gibbs-White x2)

Wolves-Newcastle4.thumb.jpg.aa45f913b6630a648de7f8ea108d1dd5.jpg

A brace by Morgan Gibbs-White means we don't waste a good team effort vs Newcastle.

1-0 (O.G Koscielny)

Wolves-Watford3.thumb.jpg.98e64246d887aaf1d5b9f2c8ab8d046a.jpg

We played the part of the Grinch as we run out of Vicarage Road on Boxing Day with 3 points we had no right in getting. There was very little offense all game with the only goal coming when we got the ball into the box and the pressure caused an own goal.

0-0

Wolves-Liverpool3.thumb.jpg.0d07e73e1c25ca8c130ccbdf1cf64f38.jpg

We fight back against the demons that hunt us as we managed a goalless tie against the team from Liverpool. The Klopp lead team was always beaten us pretty bad, but the defense played very well and didn't give them too many dangerous chances. I forgot what the weather was like but it probably helped slow down their speed, but I'll take it any way I can get it. Overall I'm incredible happy with our team's play 7 games in a month with no losses is a pretty damn good feat in my book. Big shoutouts to Morgan Gibbs-White and Diogo Jota who really stepped up their games.

January 2019

3-2 ( Gomez x2, Moutinho)

 Wolves-Brighton3.thumb.jpg.328daa2cb32862d64e3bf016545d9222.jpg

A back and forth game were Brighton took advantage of my shallow CB depth. Both normal starters Boly and Coady were unavailable for the game. Gomez keeps up with his good goal scoring record, Moutinho added a goal on a PK. I have to hand it to Brighton they really played well and used their limited chances to the fullest.

FA Cup 3rd Round 5-0 ( Wooburn, Traore x2, Gibbs-White, Moutinho)

Wolves-Charlton.thumb.jpg.8cef815adce3ff4dc19c4415add5672c.jpg

That's more like it, we torch the poor Championship team 5-0. It has a complete game from everybody the attack and midfield scored, and the defense only gave up 1 shot on target. And we advance in the FA Cup.

2-1 ( Jota, O.G Stones)

2057269750_Wolves-ManCity2.thumb.jpg.67c33edd7ad5670ab764134396b88ecc.jpg

A very close game as an own goal from John Stones negates a Leroy Sane stoppage time goal. Mourtinho found Jota for the 1st goal of the game. The team did really well to handle the always dangerous Man City team.

6-3 ( Costa, Woodburn x2, Jota, Sow, Gomez)

813173559_Wolves-WestHam4.thumb.jpg.3af6018343b42786a85e5322fbfd7df8.jpg

Another offensive explosion as we hang 6 on West Ham. Woodburn scores a big time brace from the CAM position and Tierney finished with 2 assists. All in all great game for the team.

1-0 ( Woodburn)

Wolves-Leeds3.thumb.jpg.d5adb89f30e55729b253e8b6f49b0e1f.jpg

It took us a quite a while for us to get going and Woodburn scores the winner. We didn't make take advantage of our chances, it really should have won by a lot more but a wins a win.

FA Cup 4th Round 0-0

Wolves-QPR.thumb.jpg.84404171a22a2aff6fc879cdc584f467.jpg

Completely unacceptable, we were all over QPR the entire game and nothing. Very frustrating.

0-1

Wolves-Tottenham3.thumb.jpg.697d74bbfd4d241b1bfbdc1121437ce7.jpg

Another game we should have won as I think we outplayed Tottenham. But we decided no to show up and Harry Kane punished us, that makes the 3 games in a row we couldn't score like we should have. All in all it's a bad way to end the month as next month we have a road game at QPR and the start of the Europa League knockout stages.

2 Leave and 1 Joins at the Winter Deadline

Manager Jay Ferguson confirms players  CM Roman Saiss and RB Jonny have been sold at the deadline. With Saiss leaving for Brighton for a fee of 3.1 mil, Saiss was seen as a depth player who could play CM, DM, and CB however 29 year old was below the manager standards and sold him to Brighton. Jonny leaves for Man City for a 40 mil fee. Ferguson didn't really want to make the move but the 25 year old Full Back was begging to be allowed to the leave. To make up for these departures manager Jay Ferguson brought in 25 year old Calum Chambers from Arsenal for a fee of 13.75 mil. Chambers has excellent versatility and is a natural fit as a Ball Playing CB and a supporting Fullback. Chambers is expected to challenge Conor Coady for the starting CB spot next to Willy Boly.

February 2020

0-2

Wolves-Southampton4.thumb.jpg.8d14674f85d748d8187e4aabdda08a64.jpg

And we start the month the way we ended the last month, very poor. We out shot them by a good amount but our attack was no where to be found. Embarrassing effort from the boys.

FA Cup 5th Round 2-0 ( Mountinho, Skov Olsen)

Wolves-QPR2.thumb.jpg.63784f84f1f380693f5c3d2f715ea804.jpg

We take the return game very comforting, as QPR never threatened us. The defense played well and it was only a matter of time before we scored.

1-0 ( Dendoncker)

Wolves-Leicester3.thumb.jpg.79cdec8ccc9faa5164dd4dd5c8a096a5.jpg

A boring game until Dendoncker scored a beauty from outside the box. He seems to make that a signature shot of his. The defense played a complete game as we take the win at home.

4-0 ( Skov Olsen, Dendoncker, Costa, O.G Spavelko)

Wolves-Pizen.thumb.jpg.16033f51a2a82a72a07cba829579a4ef.jpg

That's more like it, we get 3 of our own and Pizen gifts us another. Olsen continues to shine in non Premier League games, and another Dendoncker special, We only allowed 1 shot as a whole, and it doesn't get much better then that.

2-1 ( Dendoncker, Costa)

1619591152_Wolves-WestHam5.thumb.jpg.94f121a1cbd682bb978e615b52540195.jpg

We make our chances count as we leave home with 2-1 league. Dendoncker continues his hot streak and scores the 1st goal and Costa adds the game winner.

2-0 ( Jota, Gibbs-White)

Wolves-Pizen2.thumb.jpg.d46ec3c214fa3a2cb08bdcc2980823c9.jpg

We close out this Knockout Round with another shutout. Pizen played better at home but the Jota, Gibbs-White combo put the nails in the coffin. Good games to Pizen as we move on our European adventure.

0-2

Wolves-Bournemouth5.thumb.jpg.90bbc6b7724392759555873bfb1ad10a.jpg

Another really poor game for the team. Joshua King torches our defense for a brace an we have no answer.

5-2 ( Gomez x5)

Wolves-Reading3.thumb.jpg.3f5a903089fad2ca69aa36cfa52c4db3.jpg

Before the game the media asked me if I was concerned by Gomez's 16 hour goalless streak, I said I was not and Gomez backed me up. 5 goals all in the the 2nd half, He just constantly was in the right  position and the team found him. What an outstanding game and hopefully it gives him confidence for the rest of the season.

1-4 ( Gomez)

1760579955_Wolves-ManUtd3.thumb.jpg.4ed58e525e43a2841bad31cc6cc05494.jpg

Yay Gomez, boo everything else as the Red Devils get revenge.

March 2020

Europa League 2nd Knockout Stage 3-3 (Woodburn, Calaveiro, Coady)

Wolves-Milan1.thumb.jpg.41de525232490701fe42a27ba30a5bf6.jpg

This was an insane game, as you might be able to tell. It was a back forth type of game with Woodburn taking the lead only to be tied few minutes later. Coady put us ahead in the 90th minute but Xherdan Shaqiri tied it up last then a minute later. Both teams were evenly match which will brings a tight clash back to San Siro.

1-3 (Jota)

Wolves-Chelsea3.thumb.jpg.d61c11c7924d8f7ed0ac876ee5d13794.jpg

2 days after the MIlan game Chelsea came to visit, tied and potentially jet lagged the team gave it their all but it wasn't enough to over come the Blues. Kante and physicals destroyed my midfield and added a brace for good measure. Was this game due to tiredness or is it a sign that we are not quite up to the top 6 standard just yet?

Europa League 2nd Knockout Round 0-0a

Wolves-Milan2.thumb.jpg.922d13cef6630af146906480babc4507.jpg

After a 3-3 goal fest at the Molineux, the return to San Siro turned out to be a lot less exciting. The 0-0 showed just how well both team's defenses are. While their back line was alittle more leaky then ours the result was the same and Milan advances on away goals. I'm pretty disappointed that we got knocked but they were 2 amazing games against 2 evenly matched teams has we turn our focus back to the Premier League.

FA Cup 6th Round 2-1 (Gomez x2)

Wolves-Stoke.thumb.jpg.bdaa0cb16e882831a71495c5cef6500d.jpg

Gomez scored early and late in a game were we had almost total control, it wasn't a question of if we were going to get that second goal but when. Gomez sure took his sweet time but in the end an wins a win and we move on to the next round.

3-0 (Gomez, Calaveiro, Skov Olsen)

Wolves-Everton3.thumb.jpg.13f79a1cb858d86f335e6f0a651525ec.jpg

We hammer Everton to close out the month. Everton just couldn't keep up with our attack. Both Maximiliano Gomez and Ivan Calaveiro ended the game with a goal and assist. THe team really put their defense to the sword and it was a great way to end the month.

With 2 months left it's Liverpool's league to lose, with only Arsenal having a realistic chance of stopping them. Leeds move into 2oth with 23 points.

scheddy7.thumb.jpg.2bae906739e88a667f66a0b3c5cd88e7.jpg

Back to back games against the Gunners then the schedule clears up until we take a trip up to Manchester.

April 2020

FA Cup Semis 2-0 ( Gomez x2)

Wolves-ArsenalFA.thumb.jpg.27ece4d769c7bd01e81c8bab0ba5c3d4.jpg

A Gomez brace means once againg we are reading to the FA Cup finals. Ruben Dias got sent off in the 41st minute for a rough challenge in the box, which Gomez blasted so hard he almost ripped a hole in the net. It was a rainy day which helped so down the game and let our big striker go to work. I'm very happy to be moving on with a chance to ad more silverware.

0-1

Wolves-Arsenal5.thumb.jpg.ef99255a5e3d4c418d8d02c7c392f6bc.jpg

Arsenal wins the League game on a Mesut Ozil goal. It was a fairly even game and I thought I was going to get a draw but it wasn't meant to be.

2-1 (Jota x2)

Wolves-Cardiff3.thumb.jpg.d19d8bfbc4460fee479ac21bf022c287.jpg

A Jota brace and a Callum Paterson sending off is enough to leave Cardiff with a win. It was a great performance were we should have won by more but a win's a win.

2-1( Gomez, Calaveiro)

Wolves-Norwich2.thumb.jpg.2b03ee67dfa3686a8682eb778f5e4d7c.jpg

Doherty gets sent off which lead to some nervous moments but we pulled through. Patricio had a really goo game that made sure Cardiff didn't get to tie it up.

3-1 (Woodburn x2, Jota)

235544194_Wolves-CrystalPalace3.thumb.jpg.c71551a572adbd81b446435144370a09.jpg

Woodburn had a great game as we take care of relegation threatened Crystal Palace. I'll be looking at Meyers and Wan-Bissaka when they go down.

0-1

796986293_Wolves-ManCity3.thumb.jpg.9829da75e1d0351da98b73e1e526acb8.jpg

May 2020

0-1

Wolves-Liverpool4.thumb.jpg.abbcbea45554c0a0f3a31ac516a43f0b.jpg

An own goal by Coady is the difference at Anfield. It was a entertaining game for sure an we didn't play as bad as the stats indicate. All in all we were lucky to only lose 1-0 but we also could of had a draw as well.

3-2 (Costa x3)

Wolves-Watford4.thumb.jpg.d0741f63357d36740e116615e82508e5.jpg

Very bad game for Calum Chambers but an incredible game by Helder Costa has he scores a hat trick for the win on the last game of the season. We took a quick 2-0 lead but Watford battled back to make it 2-2. I thought the game was going to end in a draw but Costa took a free kick from just outside of the box and buried it for the win. We dominated the entire game and deserved the win but we switched off an needed some late game magic to secure the win at home.

FA Cup Final 7-0 ( Gomez x3, Jota x2, Sow, Moutinho)

23157875_FACupWolves2.thumb.jpg.c3dde46a79e8513944b2073d9d46b165.jpg

Soooooo this happened, Jorrit Hendrix got sent off has he took out Costa with a 2 footed tackle that got nothing but legs and things just went down hill for Chelsea from there. I honestly didn't think the red card would change that much and we would squeak out a 2-1 win or something, but the goals just wouldn't stop coming. Gomez and Sow scored before half to give us the lead. Jota scored a goal in the 70th minute and that broke Chelsea's spirit and the flood gates opened. Jota scored another 5 minutes later, Gomez scored 2 more for a hat trick an Joao Moutinho kicked the Blues while they were down and scored a laser. Hot damn this might be the best win for the rest of the save, and another trophy for us!

I finally downloaded a logo pack, and Sarri got fired after that FA Cup blow out loss to us in the FA Cup final. It was a great season for us as we finish 5th and another Europa League campaign. I'm a little disappointed we aren't in the Champions League but we aren't ready to compete for it next season anyways. Very happy with the way this season went and can't wait for the next.

A Look At Key Players

Gomez2.thumb.jpg.085cc61428cdce45b17b14c904145388.jpg

A great first season for Gomez who had 32 goals and was a perfect fit in my gegenpress system. He was tied for the Premier League Golden Boot with Mo Salah but he got it on assists. PSG, Chelsea, and Napoli all are interested in them but they will have to play atleast 50 mil for him.

Jota.thumb.jpg.e93867f2c3d4c52b867d239bd0c7334f.jpg

The jewel of my team after Neves left. Second on the team with 18 goals and was a really dangerous coming off the left wing. There have been bids made but they were on the low side and Jota doesn't mind staying here so he's staying a Wanderer. Arsenal and AC Milan are interested but they aren't going to shell out for him.

Gibbs-White.thumb.jpg.f7d39e55ce9c5241cffe0ec19e1e34b9.jpg

The jewel of our academy, and had a very good year with 7 goals and 10 assists. We gave him a new deal about a month ago an will be with us for quite a long time.

Tierney3.thumb.jpg.1d37fc94a5930a3008c39c592fea02d1.jpg

My beloved LB had a season like I wished for 8 assists and great defense. I can't wait to see how high Tierney develops.

Wolves Bring In 3 In The Summer

Maxence Girod 16 year old CM from Nice - 5 mil

Girod.thumb.jpg.437cd41709618814bcf42198ae22481a.jpg

A wonderkid that needs quite a bit of development but certainly has the tools. His physicals are pretty good to start with not he just needs to focus on his mentals and keep up his technicals and he will be a star.

Arthur 23 year old CM from Barcelona - 47.5 mil

Arthur.thumb.jpg.ca4ca44e82837b4727077652e42343a6.jpg

I really didn't need Arthur but he's shiny and I really wanted him. Both him and de Jong were available but I wanted Arthur. He can absolutely pull the strings in the midfield with his passing and control over the game. I'm really happy to sign him and he's going to do great in my system.

Myryta Burda 25 years old CB Kyiv - 21.5 mil

Burda.thumb.jpg.a05c00d64f609523f5c027568788b455.jpg

The biggest weakness on my team was the CB position and we filled it with the 25 year old CB from Ukraine. Burda has solid Heading, Marking, and Tackling and will be my #1 CB. He's got good enough speed to keep up in my counter pressing system and he will be a BIG help in both domestic and European campaigns.

Not the easiest to start to the season, which includes to trips up to Manchester.

But 1st some good news!

Community Shield 2-1 (Traore, Meling)

Wolves-CShield.thumb.jpg.e0406cbb9becaf53476f2982e3b5e9d3.jpg

Our first win against Liverpool nets us another trophy. Adama Traora shows why he's my number one choice on the Right side as he scores a goal. <y first ever signing now back up LB Birger Meling comes off the bench to score the winner off a missile from inside the box.

August 2020

Game 1 1-1 ( Traore)

1726180957_Wolves-ManCity4.thumb.jpg.91865ef5004e25cfdd8acf6ca7cab46f.jpg

The first game of the year is a trip up to Manchester as we play Man City. It was a pretty back and forth game as we snatch a deserved draw. As much as I wanted a win to start out the season I will take a draw against a great Man City team.

Game 2 2-4 ( Moutinho, Jota)

 Wolves-Arsenal6.thumb.jpg.fcfbb2d23f2216c759e7e3a305f33208.jpg

A disappointing loss at home to Arsenal, they have a great defense but we should have made this more of a game. After a draw in our first game I was upset with how this game went.

Game 3 1-5 ( Traore)

1581780294_Wolves-ManUtd4.thumb.jpg.0637d290ad5c88fc8feca13984a3dccc.jpg

I don't want to talk about it.

Game 4 0-2

Wolves-Bournemouth5.thumb.jpg.e2182372ca91d141c8cb99029aa015ce.jpg

Maybe even worse then the Man Utd game, what a bad showing. We were all over them but we had no goals to show for it,

Game 5 2-0 ( Jota, Costa)

Wolves-Blackburn.thumb.jpg.387037537ecded7eed383a6a3e2813c6.jpg

Back to our winning ways, as this is a game we desperately needed to keep our dreams for Champions League football alive. Our defense smothered them and the wingers too care of  business. Hopefully this will proved some momentum for next month.

September 2020

Game 6 1-1 (Traore)

Wolves-Chelsea4.thumb.jpg.3237db356911704a19c7b1cca50f7dfd.jpg

A good back and forth match at Stamford Bridge that ends in a draw. Patricio gets the rare assist as he punts the ball forward that found an open Adama Traore that cut through the defense and put it in the back of the net. Chelsea equalized off a free kick from Jorginho that found Olivier Ntcham who put it home. Tierney, Burda, and Patricio had a great game in the back.

Europa League Group Stage 2-0 (Skov Olsen x2)

Wolves-Vorskla.thumb.jpg.881403da1194adf57e8726eb7ad869d4.jpg

We absolutely dominated this game and Skov Olsen continues to eat up non Premier League games. The team played a complete game and we probably should have scored more.

Game 7 4-0 (Jota x3, Traore)

Wolves-Stoke2.thumb.jpg.6c1db8fde7063789f07edd261a874d57.jpg

We spank Stoke at home as Jota scores a hat trick. I think this will be the game that Jota asserts himself has star of this team. He is a terror to play against and showed it this game. As you can see the whole team played great.

Carabao Cup 3rd Round 2-3 (Jota, Bonatini)

257138723_Wolves-ManCity5.thumb.jpg.fee04dc16091c63a16cdc6f8d3792d91.jpg

Man City knocks us out of the League Cup in a thrilling game were Vincent Kompany dominated and scored a brace from set pieces. I can't say that I'm too disappointed to get knocked out of this Cup.

Game 8 5-0 (Jota x3, Arthur, Dendoncker)

Wolves-Brentford2.thumb.jpg.caba942cd1dd447d6f5e68ca0f121c49.jpg

We trash poor Brentford as Jota scores his second hat trick of the month. We terrorized their poor goalie as we peppered them with 15 shots. A complete performance all around as we head into October on a high note.

Just had a mega catch-up, @JaytheGreat, after being WiFi free in France for a couple of weeks.

A very impressive season with Wolves finishing 5th, lifting the FA Cup with a 7-0 win over Chelsea, and then getting offered the Chelsea manager’s job. If it wasn’t a Sir Alex Ferguson Challenge, would you have been tempted to move to Stamford Bridge?

After a good win over Liverpool in the Community Shield, league results look somewhat mixed, but starting to pick up. Where abouts in the league table are you?

Good luck 🍀 for the rest of the season!

I hope you had a great vacation! It would have been very tempting as in terms of talent Chelsea has the 3rd most talented team in Premier League behind Liverpool and Man City. I'm currently in 9th with 14 points. The results against the big 6 are starting to go a lot better even if we aren't consistently beating them yet.

October 2020

Europa League Group Stage 5-1 (Jota x3, Traore, Gibbs - White)

Wolves-Ajax.thumb.jpg.5b4c1858e67beec30985e884a8f2008e.jpg

We start the month off right as we blitz Ajax at home as Diogo Jota scores another hat trick. That's 4 straight games with a goal and has scored a total of 10 goals in those 4 games. The sometimes over shadowed Adama Traore adds another goal, and Gibbs - White adds another late in the game. As you can see it was a complete performance.

Game 9 2-2 ( Traore, O.G Vestergaard)

Wolves-Southampton6.thumb.jpg.d7c10f735bd62d2fb6c8e73315fe0fad.jpg

We might have gone too hard at Ajax as we leave St. Marys with a draw. It was probably a fair result but I want those 3 points. Their striker Odsonne Edouard add a cannon of a shot to tie the game.

Game 10 4-2 ( Moutinho, Gomez x2, Traore)

Wolves-Leicester4.jpg.thumb.gif.922daa9cef0110b3829a9d2e0791a4dd.gif

We survive with a win even after Dendoncker got sent off very late into the game and Matt Doherty makes two pretty bad mistakes that lead to Leicesters two goals. Gomez scored a brace while 34 year old Jaoa Moutinho and super winger Adama Traore proved the rest of the goals.

Europa League Group Stage 2-0 (Dendoncker, Jota)

317008256_Wolves-RedStar.thumb.jpg.fcaa7fcb177862e40340b6ac95b7d9e0.jpg

Hey look Jota scored and we gave up 1 shot.

Game 11 4-0 ( Jota x2, Sow, Arthur)

Wolves-Liverpool5.thumb.jpg.d5e156ac051694c455a3605f8da28ce0.jpg

Damn this felt good as we embrass Liverpool at Anfield. Our took on and beat 2 world class CMs and Jota is just scoring with his eye closed at this point. Liverpool is the biggest thorn in my side at this point so I will be savoring this win for a while.

Game 12 2-0 (Jota x2)

173713131_Wolves-WestHam6.thumb.jpg.e54de64b3740649a2186599e1159c979.jpg

I think Jota has gone super nova at this point. Another brace as no team in any competition has proven to be able to slow him down. He has 8 goals this month and is leading the Premier League in goals, I know it won't last forever but right now its just fun to watch. We have a much needed undefeated month as we climb all the way up to 4th and lead our Europa League group.

November 2020

Europa League Group Stage 3-1 (Arthur, Chambers, Jota)

753589157_Wolves-RedStar2.thumb.jpg.b9a5dd4f5d75cbb74058ea202ac7cd21.jpg

Another group stage victory as we punch our ticket to the next round. Arthur scores from a strike from inside the box. Calum Chambers scores his first goal as a wanderer and Jota continues his streak.

Game 13 0-1

Wolves-Brighton4.thumb.jpg.61fbff04a4d1c3d1650a8ea000a3699e.jpg

A huge let down coming back from Europe, Brighton had 2 shots and scored on one of them. We couldn't do anything with our chances, as our attackers really let us down.

Game 14 2-0 (Jota, Traore)

Wolves-Newcastle5.thumb.jpg.41ba46f950aa80965ce13a1259838a5e.jpg

The team bounces back with a vengeance as we completely shut down Newcastle. Both wingers score as they couldn't handle our speed out wide.

Europa League Group Stage 5-0 (Dendoncker, Gomez, Skov Olsen, Moutinho, O.G Olkhovskyi)

Wolves-Vorskla2.thumb.jpg.6e8a8a1e3e56a1b53086d4e6c6b3ecaf.jpg

A Europa League slaughter.

Game 15 2-1 (Costa, Jota)

Wolves-Norwich3.thumb.jpg.af6430f78ae98fa7f4272c13da9eb6d2.jpg

Our wingers once again prove to be the difference this time against Norwich. As the month wraps up we stay in 4th, next month sees us go to AJax and London to play the Hotspurs and we also host Man City in a month that will see if we are contenders or pretenders for a Champions League spot.

December 2020

Game 16 2-1 (Costa, Gomez)

563196775_Wolves-CrystalPalace4.thumb.jpg.7062246722cd72ead9c08dca192a0254.jpg

We beat bottom dwellers Crystal Palace 2-1. Costa and Gomez combine to put away the home team and avoid an embarrassing defeat.

Europa League Group Stage 1-2 (Dendoncker)

Wolves-Ajax2.thumb.jpg.bde1e28b6411a186779e9828c73c31ec.jpg

We lose are first game in the Europa League to an AJax team that straight up played a lot better then us. Our only consolation was a Dendoncker floater from outside the box.

Game 17 1-1 (Arthur)

Wolves-Tottenham4.thumb.jpg.6177cf8a2c539add2abbfb228698eff7.jpg

Our most expensive signing of the summer buries a PK past Lloris after being behind from Son Heung - Min strike. The teams were pretty evenly matched and the result was probably fair.

Game 18 1-4 (Traore)

65992850_Wolves-ManCity6.thumb.jpg.e9a85e1dd3df0e3dd14959c7fc905097.jpg

Not as bad as that Man Utd game but not too much better.

Game 19 2-1 (Calaviero, Burda)

Wolves-Everton4.thumb.jpg.b1c0d53f90c5305ebb36b45d5f48f477.jpg

We get back on track against a good Everton side as both of my best players go down to injuries. Summer signing Burda gets his first goal as a member of the Wolves for the win.

Game 20 (Skov Olsen)

Wolves-Watford5.thumb.jpg.0bd0db176b8917a61b717375fd494553.jpg

Skov Olsen brings some of his European magic to the Premier League. The defense preserves the lead and that's all she wrote from an always dangerous Watford side.  We go knocked on the chin, took it and punched back. However January provides an even tougher test with games against Arsenal, Man Utd, and Chelsea. Following the loss to Man City and draw to Tottenham has dropped us down to 5th.

January 2021

FA Cup 3rd Round 1-0 (Ivan Calaveiro)

Wolves-Milwall.thumb.jpg.c757e1493b9753a60e2042c191d0d69d.jpg

Damn it was a close game, why does my like team to play down to the other teams level? It's really annoying but the Wolves keep marching.

Game 21 1-2 (Gibbs-White)

Wolves-Arsenal7.thumb.jpg.2f717bd1812a5a7c914724636cc798ab.jpg

Disappointed not to grab a draw as I think we deserved it. Arsenal scored the winner then there defense shut the door on us and that was that.

Game 22 2-2 (Costa, Dendoncker)

670971510_Wolves-ManUtd5.thumb.jpg.8234c6e3eb57a034ad674805f4da1f9a.jpg

We were more fortunate against Man Utd has we squeaked out a draw at home. Costa and Dendoncker cancel out a Lozano brace. Man Utd still outclasses me in every area and position so it's good that are players came to play.

Game 23 0-1

Wolves-Bournemouth6.thumb.jpg.38a35ebabe7b69be03aec2d28118ac07.jpg

Damn it

FA Cup 4th Round 1-0 (Gomez)

Wolves-Ipswitch.thumb.jpg.e60781ea693541fce8f59378142f217d.jpg

Gomez keeps us fighting on as we survive Arthur getting sent off.

Game 24 0-0

Wolves-Blackburn2.thumb.jpg.bc2688a2aa2e0ff86f3e9c717281df2d.jpg

Another really frustrating game as we couldn't find a way to get passed Blackburn. We held them to one shot and we couldn't find away to score.

Game 25 3-3 (Jota x2, Boly)

Wolves-Chelsea5.thumb.jpg.e072ef891e21190984d63e353b206b42.jpg

Jota shows up in a big way as we got draw Chelsea at home. Chelsea came came back from 3-1 down with just under a half hour left. We let this game slip from a hands but a points a point. This month has killed my chances to make it to the Champions League by getting top 4, we would have to play perfect and that won't happen. So we have to win Europa League if we want the Champions League. Speaking of Europa League our Knockout round game is against Leverkausan.

February 2021

 Game 26 5-2 (Jota x3, Arthur, Gomez)

Wolves-Stoke3.thumb.jpg.b9063c4850b2eb4c97291f3951ae8ae2.jpg

We start off the month right by spanking Stoke on their home field. The whole team played well but it was once again Diogo Jota scoring a hat trick that proves to be the difference.

Europa League 1st Knockout Round 3-1 (Sow, Costa, Moutinho)

Wolves-Leverkusan.thumb.jpg.811964b775fef35b14d0ff74126c3b78.jpg

We start the knockout round off to a good start as our midfield over ran their midfield. Sow and Moutinho score outside the box with some rockets and Costa adds one from a run from inside the wing. Leverkusan's isn't out as their attack can dig them out of any hole.

FA Cup 5th Round 0p-0

817780732_Wolves-CrystalPalace5.thumb.jpg.bcdf71877325452f3f7bddc370be3676.jpg

We almost blow it against the worst team in the Premier League as we needed penalties to advance in the FA Cup. Both defenses played aggressive and compact and as neither team could crack the other.

Europa League 1st Knockout Round 1-0 (Gomez)

Wolves-Leverkusan2.thumb.jpg.dd2e3886f38b5eeb87e91e5747fd7e8f.jpg

We completely shut down the young attack of Leverkusan at home. Once again the back line plays a great game and Patricio only had to make 2 saves. As we march on in our quest to make the Champions League and pick up another trophy.

Game 27 2-1 (Costa, Calaveiro)

Wolves-Brentford3.thumb.jpg.f99f1c204242b6cea789a3d1ac85bfeb.jpg

Patricio and the defense allowed one while my wingers score a goal apiece. Arthur was a nightmare in the final third has he picked out Costa and Calaveiro in just the right places to get them great chances on goal.

Game 28 2-1 (Moutinho, Doherty)

Wolves-Southampton7.thumb.jpg.7000e6a28dc2896d737d1e0f9753b090.jpg

Doherty goal to win was a worldy which was more of a cross that found its way in. But we don''t apologize for goals or three points, so we celebrate a robbery at home.

Game 29 1-1 (Gomez)

Wolves-Leicester5.thumb.jpg.bec0777e637964d833e06526b684f04c.jpg

Gomez grabs a goal as we draw with Liecester in a somewhat boring game. Patricio was on top of his game to only allow one past. We end this month undefeated which is great for momentum, which we need as we start next with a visit to Moscow as we play CSKA Moscow in the next round of the Europa League.

March 2021

YI3.thumb.jpg.c9a77444a78e7675a19b17436fbb24b9.jpg

Now that's more like it. Taylor, Morgan, and Nichols look like they have 1st team potentials, Taylor and Morgan come from our home of Wolverhampton and we managed to steal Nichols out of Manchester.

Taylor.thumb.jpg.14e81828ae4f31cb34b9316e467b83e2.jpg

Morgan.thumb.jpg.8010c7be88ff62bcff3479aece3ec62e.jpg

Europa League 2nd Knockout Round 0-0

1291950791_Wolves-CSKAMoscow.thumb.jpg.56af148d902a276a69d9dd16b522c4bc.jpg

10 shots on target and nothing can find its way to the back of the net, while defensively we don't give up a single shot on target. This really is a game we should be winning.

Game 30 1-2 (Gomez)

Wolves-Liverpool6.thumb.jpg.2a09836450484947ff2de46bf054990c.jpg

Another disappointing game, as we lose at home to Liverpool. It really was a back and forth game, but in the end it was my top target last summer Gedson Fernandes scoring a brace in the 91st minute to break our hearts. As disheartening as that was we have to move forward as a trip to Moscow awaits.

Europa League 2nd Knockout Round 5-0 (Gibbs - White, Traore, Calaveiro x2, Sow)

788620761_Wolves-CSKAMoscow2.thumb.jpg.5faff6def4be92d35bd11c2e22a99a8f.jpg

That's much better as we dominate the Russians in Russia. This game was decided by our a speed as Moscow's defense just couldn't keep up. Are run to the finals continues as we wait for our next match up.

FA Cup 6th Round 4-2 ( Moutinho, Costa, Gomez x2)

Wolves-BrightonFACup.thumb.jpg.cdcdd65c50282198847d1bdc2ab8f4b3.jpg

We win the first game out of 2 against Brighton, except this is a FA Cup game while the next on is a league game. They could handle Gomez's size has he scores 2 goals off headers in the box. We move on knowing that no matter who we play in this competition we know we can win.

Game 31 3-2 (Gomez, Traore x2)

Wolves-Brighton5.thumb.jpg.45f7bd39a6369ae64ff6dbf14c3c0c88.jpg

Brighton brings more of a fight when we travel to their stadium fir a Premier League clash. Gomez once again scores against them and Traore drops a brace on them. Like most games we play, we had the upper hand for most of the game and they tried to mount a comeback that fizzled out at the end.

Game 32  2-0 ( O.G Balbeuna, Jota)

991420115_Wolves-WestHam7.thumb.jpg.f63fbdfebdc14c7a52076d8a1a1f3269.jpg

We close out the month at home against West Ham. The Hammers fall victim to an own goal and a extra time strike by Jota. All in all I was pretty pleased with month as the only hiccup has a close loss to Liverpool. Things pick up quick next month as we have the FA Cup Semi Final against Arsenal and the Europa League Semi Finals against Tottenham.

FA Cup Semi Finals 2-2p (Traore, Gomez)

Wolves-ArsenalFASemi.thumb.jpg.fe07a2c3ef7e460e8f73d4bfdd7c727d.jpg

We lose the back and forth battle against Arsenal to deny us a third straight FA Cup. The team played a great and I'm very proud of them we just couldn't get in dine during the PKs,

Europa League Quarter Finals 0-1

Wolves-TottenhamEL1.thumb.jpg.c2a729a04e7bbe6b6ae92cd961f67f8e.jpg

We couldn't get anything going offensively as we lose to Tottenham 0-1 due to a Son Heung Min goal. Excellent goal keeping by Patricio gives us a chance on the return leg.

Game 33 0-3

Wolves-Norwich4.thumb.jpg.0afc5795c8bf4beb551612ce4a1f71e4.jpg

After the 2 close losses to Arsenal and Tottenham I think the team was a little emotional burned out as we get punked by Norwich. We had injuries and suspensions which leads to playing some players that don't normally get time.

Europa League Quarter Finals 2-0 (Calaveiro, Gibbs-White)

Wolves-TottenhamEL2.thumb.jpg.836b4fc89ae1111de95f2bec4de1f7d4.jpg

We shut them out at as we move on to the Semi's. Big goals by Cavaleiro and Gibbs-White help us reverse the first leg defeat. Nothing more to say as the team played pretty much flawless.

Game 34 5-1 (Gomez x2, Traore x3)

1815772351_Wolves-CrystalPalace6.thumb.jpg.6dc99d2828714dfd4abef29026930571.jpg

We destroy Crystal Palace at home, Gomez with a brace and Jota with what I think is his 5th hat trick of the season. Games don't get much easier then this one.

Game 35 2-1 (Traore, Gomez)

We take 2/3 from Tottenham this month. We were in control for most of the game, and they score a late goal to make it a little more interesting.

Game 36 2-0 (Costa, Jota)

Wolves-Newcastle6.thumb.jpg.24f887bb5a83f3e37c88a27687fbe605.jpg

The good times keep rolling as we beat Newcastle. The defense looks like it's really starting to gel and settle down as we've only allowed 2 goals in this small win streak.

Europa League Semi Finals 0-1

Wolves-Milan3.thumb.jpg.8e6c4dc2abdbe9d8d708402c47ee2213.jpg

We leave San Siro in a 0-1 hole to the team that knocked us out last year. Gunn does his best to limit the damage, and Traore gets sent off meaning we lose our 2nd best goal scorer for the return trip.

Game 37 0-1

Wolves-Watford6jpg.thumb.jpg.f32702f681cffa10316cb95c0d1f6bb4.jpg

I don't care about the Premier League for the rest of the season.

Europa League Semi Finals 2-0 (Jota, Gomez)

Wolves-Milan4.thumb.jpg.92f30876bfb5cc6caa815334a1f76d36.jpg

We do the same thing to Milan as we did to Tottenham go in a 0-1 hole and then come back and win 2-0 at home. As you can see it was another total team effort as we move on to the finals. We are matched up against Chelsea in the Finals and I can't help but think about what happened last time we played the Blues with a trophy on the line.

Game 38 2-2 (Gomez, Sow)

Wolves-Everton5.thumb.jpg.f13582e1ca6b14154f9d135e751a0491.jpg

Two goals in extra time by Everton

Europa League Final 1-0 (Arthur)

Wolves-ELFinal.thumb.jpg.8673db631424a09336e26b5483f6feba.jpg

If you asked when I stole Arthur away from Barcelona that he would go on to lead us to the Champions League, I probably wouldn't have believed it. I did buy him because I thought he could provide us with some magic in the midfield and in the biggest moment he did. As we haunt Chelsea's none Premier League dreams for the second year in a row. A long ball Boly found Costa alone with space, as Costa proceeds to take 3 defenders into the box with him only to send a wide open cross to an unmarked Arthur at the top of the box. Other then the goal not much happened, Kepa saved the rest and our defense shut down the high powered Chelsea attack.

Congratulations, @JaytheGreat. Fantastic achievement.

Thank you, it was a great Europa League run and I didn't think I would be getting past Tottenham after the 0-1 loss in London but we battled back. Then dug out of another hole against Milan to bring Continental glory to Wolverhampton.

So I thought I saved the screenshots but I cant find them but Diogo Jota made the Europa League and Premier League teams of the season. He also won the Premier League Player of the Year, English Players' Player of the Year, English Players' Young Player of the Year. He some how came in 2nd place in the top goal scorer in England to Eden Hazard when they both had the same amount of goals in the same amount of games played but Jota had more assists and the better avg rating. He ended the season with 28 goals and 17 assist both are enough to lead the team. Cheers to you Diogo Jota.

We finish 5th again but we were chasing 4th all season, and I think next year might be the season we get it.

As for transfers I'm looking for a Box to Box CM, a RB, a GK, and if we sell Traore a replacement for him. We have 82 mil to spend and I see that Marco Asensio is transfer listed for 70 mil so thats an option I suppose.

One Diogo Jota, there’s only one Diogo Jota!

Six points to make up to finish top six next season (at least on this season’s final table). Do-able!

Good luck 🍀
