SI please listen, There is a limitation for A.I Teams & Managers such as A.I  A.I Pep Guardiola & Man City , A.I Arsenal & Unai Emery, A.I Bayern Munich & Niko Kovač

FM19s formation are players defensive position. if you play a 4-3-3 you defend in a 4-3-3...

FM 19 A.I Managers using 4-2-3-1/4-3-3. For A.I Managers and A.I Teams such as A.I Man City & A.I Pep Guardiola  they attack and defend in a 4-3-3 or attack and defend in a 4-2-3-1... A.I Pep Guardiola & Man City , A.I Arsenal & Unai Emery, A.I Bayern Munich & Niko Kovač does not do this in real life....

real life 4-3-3/4-2-3-1. In real life when teams such as Man City and Pep Guardiola attack in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, they defend in a 4-5-1, 4-4-2 or 4-1-4-1 because it improves defending, reduces gaps and space, improves compactness and shape, makes attacking midfielders defend more back.

A.I not intelligent Enough The A.I Managers and A.I Teams such as A.I Man City & A.I Pep Guardiola they are not intelligent enough to intentionally defend in 4-5-1 and attack with a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3.  Liverpool use a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 but only defend in 4-3-3- or 4-2-3-1.

What can we do? How can we make A.I Managers and A.I Teams such as A.I Man City & A.I Pep Guardiola defend in a 4-5-1 or 4-1-4-1 but attack in a 4-3-3 like they do in real life?

A. Current System

You can achieve an defending and attacking formation.. Only through roles and instructions. The default formation in FM is the defensive one.

Limitations of Current System FOR A.I

• FM 4-3-3 & 4-2-3-1 limitations. Real life Pep Guardiola and Man City attack with 4-3-3 and defend with a 4-4-2, 4-5-1 or 4-1-4-1 however A.I Pep Guardiola and Man City attack with 4-3-3 and defend with a 4-3-3
• Complexity & A.I.  The A.I Managers and A.I Teams such as A.I Man City & A.I Pep Guardiola are not intelligent enough to intentionally defend in 4-5-1 and attack with a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3. A.I Man City and Pep Guardiola use a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 but only defend in 4-3-3- or 4-2-3-1.
• Not realistic Modern Tactic System/creating . real life Pep Guardiola and Man City chooses an attacking formation 4-3-3 and then chooses a defending formation such as 4-4-2, 4-5-1 or 4-1-4-1 e.g. managers in real life A. Pick an attacking formation 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 B. pick a defensive formation  e.g. 4-5-1, 4-4-2, 4-1-4-1 C. then sort out roles & instructions  
• Not Realistic modern football matches. in real life teams can easily move and shift into there defensive shapes when defending e.g. A.I Pep Guardiola and A.I Man City should be able to switch between a 4-3-3- attacking shape into a 4-4-2, 4-1-4-1 or 4-5-1 defensive shape easily during a match.
• Not Structured or clearly define shape of attacking formation. the attacking shape defined through roles and instructions are limited, not strongly structured or defined when i look at the average position heat maps its hard to attack in a 4-2-3-1 and defend in a 4-4-2 which happens in real life 

The Suggested New System 

The Process of creating a tactic should be selecting A. a in-possession formation, then B. out-of-possession formation then C. create instructions and roles

    C1. In-Possession Formation.

• 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3

   C2. Out-Of-Possession Formation.

    The user is  only allowed to choose 1 out of 4 basic formations (basic formations that are easy/realistic for your current formation to change to  during defensive play)

• Your Default attacking formation (4-3-3)
• or 4-4-2
• or 4-5-1 (3 CM,ML,MR),
• or 4-1-4-1 (1 CDM, 2 CM,2 ML/MR)

   C3. Roles and instructions

• In-Possession instruction
• Transition Instructions
• Out-Of-Possession Instructions
• Player roles & Instructions

• Improves A.I The A.I Managers and A.I Teams such as A.I Man City & A.I Pep Guardiola can attack with a 4-3-3 and defend with 4-4-2 or 4-5-1.
• Realistic Tactic System/creation its how Pep Guardiola create tactics e.g. managers A. Pick an attacking formation B. pick a defensive formation C. then sort out roles & instructions 
• Realistic Football Matches. Real Modern Football matches are played this way  e.g. teams should be able to switch between a 4-2-3-1 attacking shape into a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 defensive shape easily during a match
• Stronger defined structure and shape of attacking and defensive formation. Players will change position with intention and clear understanding, the defensive shape and the attacking shape will be stronger and more structured without it being loose. e.g. 4-2-3-1 attacking and 4-4-2 defending will be clear and structured
