How to 'swap' positions or roles without changing individual instructions

Basically, say you play 442 and the left of the two strikers is a target man type player and the right a poacher. Say you want to change the formation so that the target man 'role' will be on the right side instead, how do you do that without having to edit the individual instructions? Dragging and dropping just seems to put the target man in the pacher role and vice versa.

Sorry, I presume this is obvious but I couldn't find anything through the search.

I think the only way is to have another tactic set up the way you want it and select that

Move the first player to any other unoccupied position. Move the second player to the first player's original position. Now move the first player to the second player's original position.

You can't use this workaround if you get a red card AFAICT - in that case you'll have to edit everything manually if you want to move a player to the position of the player who got sent off.

If you get a red card, drag an unrelated player to the position of the player who got sent off, and move him to a position you don't want to use (eg left sweeper). Then drag him to his original position.
