viva88
hi, i'm playing arsenal, trying to implement a 4-2-3-1 formation with fabregas and song as the middle 2. song is a ball winning mid and doing well, while fabregas is really bad. an average rating of about 7.2 is way less then he should be getting. i've tried all roles with him, nothing seems to work well enough. he's not getting enough balls, has about 20-40 passes per game and not much assists. what can i do with him? what role should i give the creative midfielder??? the team is not playing bad (first season, second place with 1 pont less then man united, quarter final of the champions), but i want fabregas to be waaaay more effective. thank you all! joey6
Maybe just look at what he is actually doing, sometimes a great player won't get noticed at all, just quietly does his job.
JadaX
I used to get annoyed with fabregas in fm10 since he never got good MR...but with fm11 I retrained him as an AMC and started playing him there, he's been epic
FyB
He is probably not getting any space to receive and work the ball cuz of the opposing midfielder marking him tightly. Try giving him free role with a playermaker role. You can also play him in an AMC position if the opposition has no DMC. This can give him the space without the free role. aderow
how long do you usually leave him in a role? maybe you are changing his role way too much for him to get used to.
John_Cro
Give him more creative freedom and roam from position yes
