Marek_Hamsik
I am trying to start a new game but with 2 minor changes. This is exactly what I am trying to do. (FM2010) 1. Open the Editor, Load up the original database (Patched) 2. Save the original database, using save as option to "new game 1" 3. I then want to add an EDT FILE 4. I then want to add an LNC FILE I am stuck on step 2! Usually a folder would appear in the my documents area. I would then just simply add the files to the folder db section and begin a new game. All I get is a silly xml file and I have no idea how to add the extra files. I have read the FAQ and the guide to DDT/LNC files and quite frankly, its not happening. Super Bladesman
Will the EDT and LNC files get picked up if you copy them to the C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010 Beta\data\db\xxxx folder?
Marek_Hamsik
I tried that, it didnt. All I want is the cup names changed. Ive always done these changes myself, but this year its doing my head in and I cant begin a new game!
FuryG
Will the EDT and LNC files get picked up if you copy them to the C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010 Beta\data\db\xxxx folder? This definitely works for me (and has worked all through the betatest). I added Friendly matches and other stuff via edt.
KUBI
I tried that, it didnt. All I want is the cup names changed. You can change the cup names with the editor. Just search for the competition, change the name and save the file. And than load it like a league file.

Marek_Hamsik
Wow, it suddenly worked. I have no idea why on 3-4 attempts it would not work. All I did was remove the database I had created and made sure it was in the program files. Maybe it clashes somewhere. Finally I can play! lol thanks for the help.
