  1. If you want a great challenge start as no reputation manager with a low reputation club in financial trouble in whatever league you want that does get low tv revenues.

Regarding TV money...honestly the TV Money a german club gets is dwarfed by the Premer League income.

The PL gets roughly ~2,5 times the money and Spain roughly 1,5 times the money the Bundesliga earns from TV rights and this money will probably go down as the right holders work on a large deficit.

Research: EPL TV revenue beats Bundesliga, La Liga combined | Advanced Television (advanced-television.com)

PS: TV rights abroad estimate 200 million for the Bundesliga while it is around 2+ billion for the Premier League if i am right.

  2. I disagree that Create a Club did nothing for the players as it was the sole reason i started playing FM Games again.

My motivation to have a career at different clubs or to manage a single but existing club is nil!

My drive is to start up a new club and lead it from the lowest available league into the topflight (there i most often lose my motivation bcs it changes from developing a club into managing a club and at my heart i am a player who likes to develop but managing is mostly boring to me).

It is imho a shame that SI has degraded the Create a Club mode so you no longer can use mods and i have to use the ingame editor and tricking with the league files to "simulate" Create a Club via the Career Mode so i can use league files and other mods.

I was thinking about to play F1 Manager but that thought ended right the moment when i found out you can not create your own F1 Team.

Aside of the somewhat lacking simulation and downturning UI that makes me not immersed but gives me the feel to look at a smartphone game.

I played Geoff Crammonds F1 games back in the day and they had an excellent race physic and realism and i ever wished someone would make a F1 Manager based on such a sim with the ability to create F1 Teams and have a driver your develop rpg style.

Creating my own Team is pretty much a must have for me in such games!

PS: The danger that comes with FM25 is the transition to a new tech they have little experience with but even more so from the burnt out influencers that will find out graphics is no solution to their burn out...

  3. The sorting goes random and is disconnected from the players so the rows dont fit together anymore...each pic after the first shows more "sorting/formating" degradation.

That other stuff i have no clue how to do...

I had brought it up quite some time ago but was unable to show pics back then and wehn i recently started a new FM23 save it came now up so i posted it as i was asked to do back then.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hope SI comes back to senses and offers a Light Skin again for its paying customers!

  4. Ah well, the strange messages you get from FM:

I am currently third in my league after only 4 games played and both board and supporters are disapointed of me failing to achieve a top half placing at the end of that very season that is still 10 months away...that is sooooo FM ;)

PS: Another issue with strange messaging:

When i play the first time in a league regardless how good i am it is allways a new "record low" insted of the logical new "record high" that i achieve at the end of that season.

That makes no sense - neither logical nor linguistical - when you have no result record the next result is allways the best result you have to date until you have a comparison record!

  5. I won the crucial last game of the season that did decide the promotion 2:0 and made it via goal difference...phew.

I like the new Grass way more than the old one, Stadium looked nicer, but what stroke my eye was the players were seemingly way less exhausted over the course of the game.

In FM23 my whole team was at or below 1/4 of the heart if chosen as starting player - in FM24 now it was ~1/2 of a heart mostly and 2 players at ~1/3 of a heart with only one suggestion to sub for exhaustion issues.

  6. Well, the option to convert FM23 saves into FM24 saves and the "last of its kind b4 the big engine switch" scenario convinced me to buy the new game - so far it worked and contains modded content it seems - curious if it will work well.

I copied my Avatar from FM23 into FM24 and it seems to work - i really hate to do my Avatar new every year!

    1. thing i see is that again this game offers only a Dark Skin - very disapointing as i struggle hard with dark skins bcs. they tire out my eyes very quick!

    2. thing i see right from the start is it did not save my teams edited club name and reverted it back to the old one - disapointing!

  7. Ofc when you want to force it the thing will not happen...since the problem i had a Windows and GPU-Driver Update and the new August Realism Pack from Daveincid installed.

So its either that, random luck or the shortcut i took to start a new game (bcs i need hours to start a game up usually) that it did not happen.

Since it happens only after starting a new save and the permanent workaround fix is to reload the save i wont invest much time into it - should it happen again i will remember to take a screenshot.

    Thx for your work! :)

PS: It could be that the tactic screen is a little overburdened when i start a new save bcs i fill my slots up to the brim with trial players as my scouting wont yield results quick enough for the timeframe i have to usccessfull sign players (the more i wait the less my chance gets to sign a player and scouting takes several times longer than trialing).

I had no trial players this time as i said i took shortcuts to speed up the start.

  8. Will do, but i need to start a new save, it is allways after starting a new save and happens never again after the first load of that save - but as i waited for Daveincids new realism pack i started 10 times a new save dabbling around and it happened every time until qutitting FM and loading the save after restating FM.

Give me a short while pls :)

  9. Well, having used the Skin now for a while its an absolut blast!

Without it i would have no way to play FM23 in an convenient way!

Thx very much for your work!

A minor inconvenience occurs when i start a new game - i need to restart after that bcs if not the tactic screen inmatch will quasi randonly throw around the players every time you interact i.e. try to sub one.

After the restart the screen is rockstable...

    Best regards

  10. Well, to my experience it depends on the player if they can stay on field with low stamina - some start to make errors while others can cope with it and still perform commendable.

The game will message you when players seem to need a rest and that is when low stamina becomes dangerous imho, until then it is not that big of deal.

But when the game messages you player x is tired and needs rest than it becomes  a challenge...

  11. When i switch i.e. from a 4-1-3-2 to a 4-3-1-2 the defensive and central offensive do not change their position logically but the central offensive players keeps his tactical position and the defensive midfielder suddenly becomes an attacking midfielder which makes no sense and yes, each time you swtich you tactic per drop down menu you need to look if the players took the right positions and adjust manually if not so in the end the changing of a tactic per drop down menu is not used by me ingame but only inweek.

  12. I guess the performance of tired players depends also on the level or tiredness the oposing playeers have - a significant peformance drop/disadvantage shoud be expected when a tired player meets an oposing fresh player while an oposing players in the same tired state should pretty much make no difference in perfomance aside that both should be making more errors which in the end equals out even.

Practically i usually sub my starting Winbacks around minute 67 bcs it seems to me a performance drop of significance is to be epected around minute 70 of the game.

Also players with very low stamina need to be subbed of...

In the end it is one of many factors that influences a match and maybe other factors can mitigate low stamina like a high mirale, discipline, determinaiton, captaincy etc.

  13. It woukd not be too bad, if the people interested in inspiration would take a look at the late EA/FIFA Manager in regard to the sourrounding of the game (the game itself is masterly simulated by SEGA/SI and should stay true to that course).

FIFA Manager is a true Club and Infrastructure Manager while SEGA/SI is a Manager that centers closely around the Coach role that is called Manager in the english speaking world but Manager in the rest of the world has a way deeper meaning than what a Coach does - the Manager in non english countrys is more akin to a CEO and thus has a none coaching role.

Also, albeit EA/FIFA was endet in 2014 it gets still mod support and even the vanilla 2014 Version has imo superior menu design and ease of use - ofc as it is a complex manager it has also the multitude of Menus aspect that confuses all beginners at first, but when you have worked yourself into it you get beautyful menus usally convenient to use (with the exception of some stuff that was no longer developed while still in the game like stadium construction etc.).

In the late Version Player compatibility becam a huge thing and when playing you would encounter player composition that would not work as they would mutualy not compatible to each other and you would have to make the hard decison whom to let go even if both are world stars.

Not a fan i was of the player capability down and upgrade round that happened in the season breaks where players would not develop via training and playing but from randon luck combined with season stats and for example an long term injured player can be completely destroyed in such an event bcs he is injure,d has not played, has not stats and can go from potentially world class to not usable anymore in 1 such occasion.

The german Football Manager Player Bollbo has recently looked into the EA/FIFA Manager and found it still intriguing in the many things SEGA/SI does not simulate and found the look and feel superior to the SEGA/SI look and feel.

This Vid is all talk about some differences - its german but it seems to have automated english subtexts):

I have not played it in a long time but my mo was to star in the lowest league, work my way up into the international football and lose my motivation right after that bcs i am a developer type of player and at the top developing changes into managing and preserving which to me is rather boring but it shows the game had motivation for different types of players.

Most do probably not know it but in some Version of the EA/FIFA Manger (called "Fusion" i guess) you were able to combine managing the club and playing as player in each of the matches your team would play in a season - it was a little like playing "Footballer of the Year" inside your manager game - maybe a direction SI could explore and probe into...

Alos the Mananger has a small family life simulation so while there is some randomness in getting kids that can play for your club you can marry and have stated a wish for having kids so it is pretty certain, if you are in a certain age, you will at some point get your son or daughter and have them play football in your youth team.

Tactically the late EA/FIFA Manager is a dud and nothing out of the ordinary - it simply can be ignored and should not be allowed to have any influence into the SEGA/SI Manager!

But there are many inspiration to get from that game that could enhance the gameplay experience in this SEGA/SI Manager for sure - you only have to keep them wisely!

Best of luck for that SI !

  14. On Patreon the new file is out for early access!

Hi Daveincid, thx for the work man - in the June Version of the pack i noticed the weather in germany was way more realistic than the last time i played!

Since i had a longer break for health reasons i will start nevertheless a new save with the July Version of your work.

I wont install the new players stuff and i guess the xyz.ods file is not needed by me as it is in neither folder and i did not find any explanation in the read me for that specific file.

    Best regards!

  15. I hope that SI realizes that FM23 is the best in the Series so far or it would not have such success - a bad game would not attract new players bcs it wents to additional plattforms, it is the qualities that sell there.

Now they sensibly need to identify where the game falls short and that is the more and more superficial stuff, the missing stuff, and the stuff  that is stuck in iterations that make that stuff not usefull for a better part of the playerbase.

    Some examples:

That would be the whole interview stuff, that is beyond repetitive but gladly you can offload that workload.

    That is National Team management,

That is the german league U23 implementation as Affiliate Clubs that takes away player agency and makes its management a chore (i only know the german leagues situation as i dont play other leagues bcs my motivation is to start a new club in a low league and lead it into the highest Tier and that club nees to be a local club from the region where i live).

To some degree i dont understand why the old games databases were so much faster compared to the a database of the same size in the recent games in regard to access and sorting - in the old games, pre FM20 i guess, sorting was a thing of almost instant result and clicking on a player brought immediatley without any percieveable delay the individual data. Then they changed something and sorting started to take 10 or 20 times the time and there was at times a delay of any seconds until individual data was displayed after cliking on a player when scouting manually. It has imrpoved but with faster CPU and GPU now compared to then it is still more on the leaves you somwhat unsatisfied side of things.

Sorting Staff for their wage expectation is missing, at least i found nothing of it and have so much Staff i can not hire in the search that i simply can not pay bcs their wage expectation exceeds my ability to pay or the limits what i am allowed to pay it is really tiresome to click through 50 guys you can not hire to find the 2 or 3 that expect a wage you can offer (i understand that only is a criteria for clubs of lower standing and does not play a role for the big wiggs in the game).

Longstanding bugs like when i start i often does not save the day1 tactic and i have to do the tactic 2 or even 3 times also when i change a tactic it either has suddenly the old tactic in place and the changed one is gone or when i switch between tactics it has switched back the next time i have access to it after the game processed trhough the days which makes me somwhat uneasy having allways to doubt if the right tactic is applied, i had even in an older FM like Fm19 or 20 the case that i had a dofferent tactic on the inweek screen and on the matchday inmatch tactic screen i had a different tactic - very disturbing and inconvenient.

There is probably more i am so used to navigate around that it comes not yet to mind but yeah - it would be great is this kind of bug could possibly get rid off!

Could just be me (as I've not amazing at the game anyways) but since the latest update has anyone found the game more difficult unless your using a 5 at the back system?

Ever since the latest update, current saves and new saves seem to be more difficult to get a tune out of my sides when using the more traditional 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 and even a 4-2-2.

I know formations this season with 5 at the back had became more popular and a bit OP but just seems a bit like overkill since the latest update.

I currently use a 4-3-1-2 and it works quite well (no DMs - the DLP is in CM pos)

  17. A real life example of this mid season slump would have been Hertha BSC a few years ago when they were not so bad a relegation candidate that they were able to start well into a season and let the season slip after the winter break with such regularity it became a running joke.

In 2016/17 Hertha had 32 points in the first leg vs 18 points in the second leg.

    In 2017/18 it was 30 v 19 points.

The worse they became the more it equalized...

And. btw. some Vids say Hertha never played in the CL - that is not true as they played CL in the 1999/2000 season, when they had a good team instead of a bunch of some better than average players that related on single oustanding players actions for success.

What happens in FM could be for one the influence of weather as winter is bad for the more technical aquainted teams and a multitude of new players may disturb the team cohesion as well a lack of friendlies may left the players match unift at first and as FM is a momentum + morale manager that alone could break any winning streak!
