  1. Season 2029/30 Changes The last generation of real players (born in 2006) joins the list. Zak Lovelace will boost an already strong Jamaica squad, while Curacao, Togo, Equatorial Guinea and Libya get their new superstars. World Cup Six teams made their debuts this time – Venezuela, Albania, Cape Verde, Mali, Burkina Faso and Suriname. Four of them advanced to playoffs, and Albania was leading 2-0 at half time against the eventual winners and hosts Spain with goals from Gladbach duo Weiper and Gruda! Tino Livramento helped Portugal to reach their first World Cup final.
  2. Season 2028/29 Changes Eliesse Ben Seghir leads the list while Ghana seems to get the best improvement overall. Barbados, Sierra Leone, Suriname and Comoros are getting some players from top clubs too. African Cup The defending champions and runners-up finished bottom of their groups, and the trophy was contested by teams, mostly unaffected in this experiment (only Egypt had one backup player in the squad). Though Angola with Tiago Tomas at front and a lot of other ex-Portuguese players managed to win their first ever medals! Gold Cup Three in a row for Guadeloupe, and the golden goal was scored by one of the first newgens in this experiment – Allan Anatol-Arconte. Decent results for Suriname, Dominican Republic and Haiti.
  3. There were several players moved to Philippines, not good enough to be on top pages. The best one so far is Angelo Bruckner, who came from Bayern academy and played a few games for Wolfsburg. Season 2027/28 Changes Rayan Cherki is actually the best player involved into this experiment during all seasons! Cuba and Central Africa got some serious improvement this time. Euro A boring outcome, among the final four only Portugal had a couple of former Brazilians involved in this experiment. Copa America After finishing as runners-up four years ago Venezuela won their first ever title! The best naturalized player in their squad was Daniel Maldini (not a superstar like his father and grandfather, but the first player in this family to win an international trophy). Australia eliminated Brazil, continuing their run of surprising results after 2026. OFC Cup Fiji got a point from New Zealand in the group, but lost to Tahiti and failed to advance. The final was predictably one-sided.
  4. Season 2026/27 Changes East Timor got a player from Liverpool! Asian Cup Shinta Appelkamp scored in the final to help Japan winning their fifth title. Syria, India and Lebanon also used their new players well. African Cup Gambia had only three new players in the squad but still managed to win their historical first trophy! DR Congo finished as runners-up once again, Arnaud Kalimuendo became MVP and best goalscorer. Gold Cup Guadeloupe won two in a row after advancing to playoffs only by scoring one more goal than Haiti. And despite all the improvement of island nations, Mexico must perform much better than they did.
  5. Season 2025/26 Changes Portugal got a good Brazilian center-back but lost a promising striker to Angola. Ivory Coast seems to get the biggest improvement overall. World Cup A bit disappointed with lack of surprising qualifiers, despite the expansion only Uzbekistan, Guinea and Mali made their debuts, and none of them advanced to playoffs. Jamaica, Nigeria, Cameroon and Ghana topped their groups but couldn’t get past third round. Max Kilman (Ukraine) was the only player from this experiment to reach quarter-finals, and his goal almost knocked England out (Foden equalized in stoppage time)! Australia didn't get any new players, still their run to fourth place is remarkable.
  6. Asian countries don't get as many good players here as Africa or Caribbean islands, unfortunately. Two biggest stars of SEA region play for Indonesia at the moment - Hilgers and Audero.
  7. Season 2024/25 Changes It’s strange how Choudhury hasn’t played a single game for Bangladesh over two seasons! African Cup Ebere Eze became the MVP as Nigeria won the trophy at home, and three other semi-finalists had almost half of their squads added in this experiment. Waiting for some surprises in the World Cup qualifiers. Gold Cup Too bad that Guadeloupe can’t qualify for the World Cup (and Confederations Cup isn’t held anymore)! With Saint-Maximin and sixteen other French players they surely could make some surprises there. Jamaica, Martinique and Curacao also used a lot of new players to reach later stages.
  8. Season 2023/24 Changes France and England lost quite a lot of talents. Some players already featured in that list last year, but regained their old nationalities and continued to wait for the call-ups. Fun fact – Montserrat now collected all three Willocks in their squad African Cup Congo (with Kolo Muani and Brice Samba among new players) reached the final though Ivory Coast managed win the title at home with Sessegnon as a regular starter and few other newcomers in rotation. For teams like Burundi and Sierra Leone, qualification itself was a good achievement, hardly possible with the regular squad. Euro No unexpected qualifiers (except Georgia, but they didn’t get any boost in this two seasons), and I didn’t expect sensations from the tournament itself, but instead… Austria and Croatia in the final, and the only goal scored by Robert Ljubicic who wasn’t capped by Croatian team and moved to Austria before the first season! Copa America Venezuela reached the final with Samuel Shashoua in their squad (I think I’ve changed his nation to USA at first, but he chose the third option instead). OFC Cup No surprises, there’s not many players with Oceanic roots to make any other team competitive against New Zealand.
  9. (inspired by Geoffrey Kondogbia playing for Central African Republic) As a fan of managing in smaller nations, I was always frustrated with one thing - if there is a player with double nationality, he will most likely wait for a callup from a bigger nation even if he's far away from its level. So, I decided to make this experiment and see if it leads to any surprising results. DB setup – current internationals and continental reputation players from all continents (45k players at start). Rule of experiment – each year in August a player will switch to the secondary nationality if: He’s uncapped for the senior team at the age of 23 (or for youth teams at 20) He’s good enough (in CA or PA) to be selected for the second nation This nation plays official games (so for example Caribbean non-FIFA nations are also counted as they can qualify for Gold Cup). Season 2022/23 The first pool of changes included almost 600 players, the best of them are: Africa and CONCACAF nations benefitted the most, though even some big European nations got new names (mostly Brazilians). World Cup All-European final four with England winning their second trophy against France (at least something matched the real life). Only USA, Senegal, Cameroon and Poland featured newly naturalized players (I guess it needs some time for everyone to appear in national pools), however none of them got past the second round while Qatar and Japan managed to reach quarter-finals without any help. Asian Cup India and Indonesia had the biggest boost before the season, which helped them to reach playoffs. Qatar defended their title against Uzbekistan, the only ‘new’ player in the final was Waldemar Anton from Stuttgart. Gold Cup Quite a surprising outcome, though eventual winners from Costa Rica didn’t get any improvements to their squad. Runners-up Jamaica had nine new players including Ivan Toney who became the best goalscorer (6) and had the highest rating (7,56). Martinique (also with nine new players) lost in quarter-final, but managed to overtake Mexico in the group.
  10. Fun fact - Dolbizno is actually a village with population around 300 and their current stadium looks like this:
  11. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2040/41 Defending the title is harder? Not this time, we dominated the league and were celebrating with three games to go (still didn’t lose any of them)! Cup The only domestic disappointment. The double was close, but the only late goal brought the cup to Jablonec (well, after all they helped us last year). Champions League A great debut on the top European level, we took half of the points in league stage, eliminated Sevilla with a winning goal in stoppage time and at least played decently at home against Inter. Squad stats L.Řehák *33b – an awesome season, he matched Muxel’s club record in the league (34) and finally was noticed by the national team. S.Trifunović *34g – it’s the first time since 2027 when our top assistant is not a winger! And he had his best goalscoring season as well. T.Mununga *33f – probably the best average rating our goalkeepers ever had. Yes, he didn’t play in Europe (has a bad trait of important matches), but his league performance obviously gave us some extra points. M.Zakostelský *30b – goalkeeper’s high ratings didn’t mean that our defense was rubbish J.Havlíček *36d – wasn’t as productive as a season before, but won the Golden Boy award. M.Málek *35a – a decent season after injury and a deserved national team debut. Transfers – selling Karafiat mid-season was a doubtful move. The fee was good for a backup defender but Banik was quite a dangerous title rival at the time, however he didn’t score against us at least Meanwhile our best ever graduate Jambor made another big move, giving us some more money. Youth intake (preview) Schut *41a | R.Zeman *41b | Kovařík *41c | Jakubov *41d | Li Hang *41e | F.Zeman *41f An average intake with a lot of unambitious players, though Schut looks really promising. The board finally announced that the new stadium will be built in two years (though it's not a huge improvement so far). Also we got one more foreign affiliate, Bosnian Široki Brijeg was the best option available. And another sign of our academy success - ten players were called up for the U21 Euro (could be more but some youngsters already play for the senior team)!
  12. Probably the weirdest host choice for a big tournament I've ever seen: And a great talent management from Chelsea
  13. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2039/40 Won the first stage defeating Sparta on the final matchday (the game was mad, we played shorthanded since 18th minute, Sparta had four disallowed goals while Trifunovic missed a penalty but recovered with a free kick winning goal)! Dropped to 3rd place with a loss from Banik, still had a title chance before the last matchday. Just needed to defeat Sparta once again and hope for help in another game… Champions! A boring game was decided by a penalty (Trifunovic again scored the winning goal) and Jablonec upset Banik to give us the first ever league title! Cup Knocked out in quarter-final with a late free kick from our former player (his only goal of the season, double classic from FM ) Champions League One step closer to the main stage, but Benfica was too strong. Europa League The schedule was much harder this time with five games against top league teams, I expected a tough battle for 24th place but instead we made it into the top eight! Playoff stage was successful as well, we defeated Athletic twice and won the Czech derby in quarter-final, but Man Utd was clearly the team from another level (of course, they won the trophy). Squad stats L.Řehák *33b – our first player to score 30+ goals in a season since Muxel’s departure. J.Šmíd *28a – the captain led our team to the title with the highest average rating. J.Havlíček *36d – set up 16 goals and won the first NXGN award for our club. M.Zakostelský *30b – our leading center-back was solid for the club and finally got his first senior caps. S.Trifunović *34g – scored five of his six goals during the final month, including the most important one. M.Málek *35a – missed the final stage with injury, but had a really good season before as the first playmaker option. T.Mununga *33f – kept his good form for another season, however the competition on goalkeeper position isn’t over at all. Three goalies from our system already played for the Czech team, with P.Vydra *36b seems to become the nation’s first choice. Transfers – some former first team players left, including Matejka (club record holder with 469 league games) and Varga (302 games for club and World Cup participation with Hungary). Youth intake (preview) Kuchta *40a | Braný *40b | Večera *40c | Yaka *40d | Doležal *40e | Beránek *40f A better intake than expected from preview, we got another promising goalkeeper and a potentially elite winger. Unfortunately, other Czech teams (except Banik, beaten by us in EL quarter-final) weren’t so successful in Europe and Portugal took the 6th place back. In other news, our board announced the new stadium in two years, and we finally got an option to sign a specific youth affiliation (I chose Uruguayan team Defensor Sporting with an exceptional recruitment level).
  14. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2038/39 Sparta had an easy title run this time (16th in 17 seasons), the battle for second place was tight but we had a lucky draw for the final stage, playing at home against teams from 3rd to 5th. So, it’s one more try in the Champions League next season! Cup Tougher draw and early exit with a backup squad. Czechoslovak Supercup Basically a part of pre-season friendlies, still a trophy that we haven’t won before. Champions League After a comeback win at home we had a chance to advance, but a stupid early red card made our task almost impossible. Europa League Making a debut on the new level wasn’t easy, but we recovered after starting defeats, finished the group stage on 13th place and then got a revenge on Celtic. Sporting was a much tougher team to beat, and after drawing first leg at home I hardly could expect better result in Portugal, but we took them to extra time and scored a late winning goal! The same scenario almost repeated against Betis, both games were almost equal and the only missed penalty in shootout left us out. Still a great result, especially as Betis won the trophy! Squad stats A.Uhlíř *31a – since Řehák only returned in January, he was our undoubted choice at front for a big part of the season, setting his personal best result and winning league’s top goalscorer award. J.Šmíd *28a – not as productive as last season, still a good season for our captain. J.Hřídel *30c – finally matched the club record in assists (though needed almost twice more games than Jambor had in 33/34). L.Petržílka *26g and M.Zakostelský *30b – a younger defender replaced Varga in the first eleven without any loss in quality, our center-backs actually had the best average rating in the team. O.Hůlka *33c – we have several players getting national call-ups, but he is the only one who regularly plays for the Czech team from the start. O.Žák *33e, M.Jakobovský *35b and T.Tichý *34c – the latest national team debutants. Jakobovsky actually wasn’t in my first team plans before the season and was loaned to Legia. That half-season loan was so successful that now he’s considered a wonderkid and wanted by PSG (luckily preferred to ask for a new contract until 2043 before demanding to leave)! T.Mununga *33f – once again we changed the starting goalkeeper, Mununga had a nice season both for club (selected as the best goalkeeper and talent of the year) and DR Congo (reached the African Cup quarter-final with the only goal conceded in five games). Transfers – no idea why Juventus needed our backup striker, setting the new transfer fee record (though Jambor brought us more including future fees, this summer we received 2 more million from his move to Bayern). Youth intake (preview) Guðnason *39a | Volešák *39b | Sejk *39c | Plechatý *39d | Smirnov *39e I hope at least this Icelandic midfielder will develop into a good player. A massive improvement for the rankings, Czech Republic overtook both Netherlands and Portugal (our results against Braga and Sporting surely helped!) and gained an extra Champions League spot. Meanwhile our reputation is now third in the nation, only behind Sparta and Slavia.
  15. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2037/38 This time we were in a real title battle, at least during the first stage. In the final games Sparta took their chances perfectly, however second place was still in contention. We needed to defeat Slavia at home on the last matchday, hoping for Banik dropping points, and it happened! Thanks to Slovacko win we secured the best ever finish in the club history and got a chance to play in the Champions League! Cup And three days before qualifying to Champions League we celebrated club’s first top tier trophy since 2001! Once again draws were really lucky, the only away game was in semi-final, and despite Jablonec always appeared as a difficult opposition, this time we simply destroyed them. Pardubice surprisingly knocked out Sparta and Banik on penalties, but we left them no chances in the final. Conference League Our results in Europe are declining with every season, but we could only blame ourselves this time. Too many chances were missed in October games, so we ended up in the unseeded group. Squad stats J.Šmíd *28a – our new captain hit double digits in both goals and assists for the first time, also became best Czech player of the year and fully deserved a World Cup callup (Czech team qualified for the first time since 2006)! L.Řehák *33b – set his personal goalscoring record, became the best Czech young player of the year, scored twice in the cup final, was named in the preliminary World Cup squad… and torn his cruciate ligaments in the last game of the season. Out at least until winter J.Hřídel *30c – the best winger in our squad became the team leader in assists, kind of expected. L.Petržílka *26g and B.Varga *26i – we have quite a few talented center-backs, but this class of ’26 duo still keep the first team places. Varga also will participate in the World Cup for Hungary. O.Hůlka *33c and R.Karafiát *31h – our starting full-backs got their first senior caps together in a friendly, and Hůlka eventually made it into the final World Cup squad so we'll have three representatives in South Africa this summer (and five academy graduates overall with Muxel and Jambor also being selected). S.Trifunović *34g – cancelled his transfer request and signed a new contract (with a lower release fee though)! Selected as #3 in his final NXGN list appearance. V.Matejka *24a – set the new club record in games played, still remaining a regular starter and having his best season in terms of assists. A.Bednář *34a – we are reaching the stage when our academy produced too many talented goalkeepers, Bednar was good as a starter but his place is not guaranteed for next season. Transfers – saying goodbye to some of our veterans, Kodr and Klinka each played more than 300 games, Ellison had the club record with 495 but younger players took their place in the first team now. However, the main income was received from selling former A-rated prospects who didn’t justify their potential. Youth intake (preview) Kos *38a | Tetour *38b | Tichý *38c | Kovář *38d | Raffaelli *38e | Ptáček *38f Two best prospects are unambitious
  16. Just did a screenshot from Excel and uploaded along with other images.
  17. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2036/37 Sparta won another title quite easily, but we were running in the next group and this time managed to get good result in the final stage, repeating our best ever position! Aiming for the second Champions League place doesn’t seem so unrealistic now (if we keep the key players, of course). Cup That was our real chance for a trophy with having only home games and Sparta already being knocked out, but we failed to score in semi-final Conference League Road to the main stage wasn’t easy, from a stoppage time comeback in Kazakhstan to getting a Bundesliga team in the final qualifying stage, however we defeated them with the only late goal and then had another top eight finish (only losing to eventual trophy winners Espanyol). Could have more luck in playoffs though, Braga wasn't such a dominant side as it can be suggested from the score. Squad stats A.Uhlíř *31a – his best goalscoring season so far. R.Čupr *28d – a huge surprise from a player who was seen as a backup winger but eventually had the best average rating and led the team in assists. L.Petržílka *26g – was the best central defender this season. S.Trifunović *34g – our third Golden Boy in four years, though unlikely to stay here for more than one season as he’s wanted by European top clubs. M.Sedláček *31b – replaced Kodr as the starting goalkeeper, not sure if he stays #1 for a long time as we have two youngsters progressing well on loan. Transfers – no notable departures. Youth intake (preview) Hušek *37a | Boháč *37b | Mulugeta *37c | Kotěra *37d | Šindelář *37e There are not so many talented players here, still the top prospects can boost our defensive line. Our training facilities should reach the maximum level in September, and the stadium is going to be expanded to 8000 seats.
  18. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2035/36 The final stage was very disappointing, luckily we had a good gap over 6th place and Sparta helped us to keep the European spot with winning the cup. Cup Got rid of extra games early. Conference League Our second group stage appearance didn’t start so well, but 13 points were eventually enough for a top eight finish. A great result itself, but the way we lost in semi-final was really annoying. After a comeback against Young Boys (trailing 0-2 and 2-3 at home with a few minutes left) and destroying Fiorentina I could hope for the second final appearance, but Sturm became an unbeatable opponent for us this season. Squad stats J.Šmíd *28a – almost doubled his goalscoring record from last season, became the best Czech footballer of the year and earned a call-up for the Euros (maybe he'll finally earn his first senior cap there). A.Uhlíř *31a – had a very controversial season, great form in autumn brought him the Golden Boy award, but then he only scored once after the winter break M.Bílek *24b – one of our veterans had his best stats ever, still that wasn’t enough to break Jambor’s assisting record (which was set during only half of the season). B.Varga *26i – another good season for our center-back who also will take part in the Euros. L.Řehák *33b, S.Trifunović *34g, T.Tichý *34c – for the first time we had multiple players selected into NXGN top 50, though I’d put Trifunovic ahead of others. He’s a regular starter now and scored some remarkable goals from distance (this volley in Conference semi-final was just amazing, shame that we lost that game). Seeing a loaned center-back in this list is quite surprising as his stats weren't so impressive in the second tier, but I guess that means a really good potential. O.Žák *33e – probably deserved the NXGN selection as well, anyway his progress deserves to be mentioned. Transfers – no major departures, but Muxel and especially Jambor earned some money for us with their new transfers! Youth intake (preview) Látal *36a | Vydra *36b | Navrátil *36c | Havlíček *36d | Rezek *36e Not the best intake for a 5 star rating, still the top four players look quite promising. Youth recruitment was increased to 20 after the latest patch, and another training upgrade is on the way. Also we finally got the first foreign affiliate in China (chose the club with better facilities).
  19. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2034/35 Losing a player who scored 50 last season couldn’t happen unnoticed, we weren’t so clinical in front of goal but instead became much better defensively and managed to return into European competitions! Sparta had some insane amount of points, no idea when we would be strong enough to challenge them. Cup A decent run which ended when we needed some rotation against Jablonec and couldn’t even get a shot on target. Squad stats B.Varga *26i – our defensive form was crucial for these results, and Varga eventually became the team’s MVP. J.Šmíd *28a – couldn’t score for three months at start of the season, but improved later and became a leading scorer for us (though these numbers are closer to what we got while being relegation candidates). A.Uhlíř *31a – had a hard task to replace legendary Muxel, at least wasn’t hopeless in trying to do this and won the talent of the season award. D.Klinka *26d – was our best assistant before Jambor’s record season, remains one after his departure. R.Karafiát *31h – a versatile defender who had a breakthrough season on loan and returned as a starting right-back. P.Kodr *26c – our goalkeeper had the best season in his career with 16 clean sheets. S.Trifunović *34g – my personal MVP of the final stage, I promoted him after several first team midfielders were injured and he really impressed. To be honest, we didn’t have such a well-balanced central midfielder for a long time! Transfers – apart from these, we also had several pre-arranged sales which happened before the season update. Youth intake (preview) Málek *35a | Jakobovský *35b | Rosický *35c | Bartoš *35d | Thinh *35e | Kubišta *35f | Wiesner *35g | Kaufman *35h | Tavío *35i Surely the most diverse intake so far in terms of nationalities, but all the best talents are local guys. Malek is going to be an excellent playmaker in future! Finally we had a board takeover, and the new chairman is certainly more ambitious to approve the youth facilities upgrade!
  20. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2033/34 I paused this career in February as it became running too slow and hoped for better optimization in the upcoming patch, which really happened! Unfortunately it also brought some struggle with new match engine, and in addition we had to sell our best winger Jambor to league rivals Slavia (they were the only team to agree for a future clause, and I really hope he would leave for a bigger club soon), so dropped to 6th place with a big gap from European spots. Cup It surely wasn’t a priority this season, but losing to a lower division team which only had one shot on target still hurts. Conference League We started the continental season with two quick conceded goals in Scotland but managed to recover, won the home leg and then defeated HJK twice to make our first league stage appearance! Four wins out of six were quite expected, but we also managed to upset Montpellier with Muxel’s hat-trick and put a decent performant away at Stuttgart, finishing 4th and qualifying directly to the second knockout round. Thanks to easier draws we reached semi-final and there met Stuttgart again. They didn’t look unbeatable in the group stage, and this time we completely outplayed them in Germany but somehow lost. Though luck returned to us in the second leg, which was heading to extra time when we were awarded a penalty for a foul clearly outside the box Muxel converted it for a hat-trick and sent us into the final! A predictable result, Valencia was a much stronger team and actually played this final at home. Still tried our best and weren’t embarrassed! Squad stats M.Muxel *23a – farewell to our legend who set an amazing record of 50 goals (enough for becoming a top goalscorer both in domestic and Conference league) and scored 213 in 347 games for the club overall. We couldn’t match his wage demands anymore and he moves to AC Milan (there was an option to get around 2 million for him in winter, but we surely wouldn’t be in the European final that way so I think I’ve made a right choice). J.Jambor *30a – despite playing only half a season here, he set the new club record with 18 assists and won the Golden Boy award! J.Šmíd *28a – improved his personal goalscoring record, and with Muxel leaving he must become a leader of our attacking line. B.Varga *26i – finally made his international debut for Hungary and had another good season for the club. M.Bílek *24b – wasn’t so impressive in the league, but performed really well in Europe, scored our only goal in the final and eventually was selected into team of the year. P.Ellison *23b – he will be the only player remaining from 2023 squad after Muxel departure. Still a regular starter, setting the new club record in all-time appearances. Transfers – sold another youngster to Slavia, but he’s unambitious and had no progress at all so shouldn’t be a blow for our squad. Youth intake (preview) Bednář *34a | Týce *34b | Tichý *34c | Minařík *34d | Biro *34e | Frýdek *34f | Trifunović *34g A five-star intake with a potentially great goalkeeper, mostly positive personalities and two surprising Brazilians (maybe an influence from our previous HOYD who left two seasons ago?) A successful run in Europe boosted our finances a lot, but we can’t use them for youth facilities Hoping for the board change happening soon.
  21. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2032/33 Another bad start, we struggled to score and missed a lot of points in the games that should be won. Even after defeating Sparta and Slavia in December we were only 10th at the winter break, but after nine wins and two draws in new year made it to the top three. And here came the old problems with scoring, we were the better team in four games out of five, but only managed to get one win. Enough for 4th place, but we could actually qualify to the Champions League with a bit more luck! Cup Tried our best against Sparta, but that wasn’t enough. Conference League So close! After confidently defeating opponents from Ukraine and Austria we were drawn against Lens and hardly could hope for a good result, especially after a narrow loss at home, but Muxel scored two in France and we were ten minutes from qualifying to the group stage. Unfortunately, he also was the only player to miss in the shootout Squad stats M.Muxel *23a – another excellent season for our striker. Played in the Euros (mostly as a substitute and didn’t score, but assisted for the winning goal in a game which let the Czech team qualify for playoffs), won his third top goalscorer title in a row and officially became the club legend (along with Karel Poborsky and several less known players from 90s). His new contract is really huge though, he earns four times more than the second richest player in our squad. J.Šmíd *28a – set his personal goalscoring record. D.Klinka *26d and J.Jambor *30a – two wingers set the new joint club record in assists. Jambor once again was selected into the NXGN list (this time as number 3!), but his future in our club is very doubtful – he wants to play in a better squad with one year of contract remaining B.Varga *26i – this time he was the leader of our defensive line, though still overlooked by the national team manager. Transfers – apart from these departures, before the season we released two last remaining real players who weren’t good even for backup anymore. Youth intake (preview) Slončík *33a | Řehák *33b | Hůlka *33c | Piták *33d | Žák *33e | Mununga *33f | Leština *33g We got some quality players, but not for the positions which I hoped to improve. It’s really strange that our attendance is declining despite selling more season tickets and playing in Europe. Another training facilities upgrade is on the way, thanks to better sponsorship deals.
  22. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2031/32 Struggled at start with only two wins in first 12 games, but managed to recover and qualified for the championship group in the end. One game on this run was especially pleasing, when we thrashed Sparta at home and Muxel became our first player to score four goals in a league match. With only one point earned in first four games we couldn’t finish higher than 5th place. Luckily, Sparta won the cup (at least some consolation for them after breaking a streak of nine league titles!) so this was a Conference spot once again. Cup Opava knocked us out again, this time it was very annoying as we felt a possibility of a good cup result, fielded the strongest squad and still couldn’t score. Conference League Unlucky draw for the debut. Antwerp had a much better squad, we managed to keep the score clean for 210 minutes but lost in a shootout lottery. Squad stats M.Muxel *23a – scored less than last season, still enough to win the top goalscorer and MVP awards with a huge margin. He also became our first player to be selected for the major tournament. J.Šmíd *28a – scored 10 goals and was in the preliminary squad for the Euros. D.Klinka *26d – the best assistant, as usual. V.Matejka *24a – another decent season for our playmaker. L.Petržílka *26g and B.Varga *26i – our center-backs keep the good form. Varga once was called up to the Hungarian senior team but didn’t play so far. J.Jambor *30a – our second player to feature in the NXGN top 50, his performance isn't too impressive though. Transfers – quite a good profit from selling reserve players (loaned players with higher fees will be released after this season, so actually they are sold as well). Sedlacek *27a is the most familiar name there, a striker who looked really good in the intake and had a great rookie season, but unfortunately had no potential at all. We also missed the future fee clause for D.Macek *25a who signed as a free agent with Liberec after three season in PSG reserves (leaving us certainly was the wrong choice). Youth intake (preview) Fišer *32a | M.Novák *32b | J.Nowak *32c | Froněk *32d | Sifneos *32e | Vágner *32f | Divíšek *32g Were promised to get some central midfielders, got another bunch of wingers instead (and not the best ones actually). Sponsorship deals increased a lot after playing in Europe, that allowed us to schedule a training facilities improvement and the ultimate recruitment upgrade.
  23. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2030/31 That’s our breakthrough season for sure! We were second at the winter break, dropped to fourth place with a harder spring schedule but defeated Plzen in the last game to overtake them. And our attack was simply amazing during this season, we scored 62 goals (Sparta had the closest number with 51). Now the battle for Europe starts, we need to avoid finishing bottom in the final six. Started the final stage with three defeats, but winning two last games at home was enough to repeat the best finish in club’s history! Plzen got the Europa League spot by winning the cup anyway, but probably that’s even better – we may have more chances to progress in Conference and earn some money. Cup Our reserve squad set the new record for biggest win, but failed to progress in the next round. Squad stats M.Muxel *23a – the main reason why we were so strong. Sparta and several Asian clubs were interested in him during summer, but luckily no one made an offer, he signed a new contract in September (had to offer the biggest wage and bonuses the club could afford) and scored 34 goals! Of course, he became league’s best goalscorer and was selected as the best player. J.Šmíd *28a – stats are not too impressive, but he took the deep-lying spot and let Muxel play closer to the goal. V.Matejka *24a – the most productive season for our starting playmaker as well, he won the best midfielder award. D.Klinka *26d – finally reached the 10 assists mark. L.Petržílka *26g and B.Varga *26i – another solid season for our center-backs. Petržílka was selected into team of the year, while Varga won the best young player award. J.Jambor *30a – the top prospect from last season’s intake already looks good as a rotation winger. Transfers – sold two backup veterans and some reserve players who became unhappy or simply weren’t needed. Youth intake (preview) Uhlíř *31a | Sedláček *31b | Holub *31c | Brabec *31d | Mozr *31e | Hladík *31f | Glaser *31g | Karafiát *31h Probably we don’t need more strikers right now, but getting a promising goalkeeper is always good. Our financial state was quite concerning during the season, but sponsorship deals increased so we even made some profit. Also we are affiliated with Newcastle now, their owners surely could be more generous in this deal
  24. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2029/30 For the first time we finished in the middle group and were officially safe from relegation after 30 games. Actually we even underperformed, being fifth in xG table, so could hope for European places with a slightly higher quality of players. Winning this mid-table playoff only gives a higher seeding in the next season’s cup, so I’m not too concerned about the final loss. Still the semi-final comeback against our local rivals was impressive, we were 0-4 behind in the first game! Cup Our best cup performance as well, thanks to easy draws in first rounds and two penalty saves from our reserve keeper Ciupa in quarter-final. Slavia destroyed us as expected though. Squad stats M.Muxel *23a – set our new goalscoring record in the top flight and became the first player to earn a senior cap (6 minutes in a friendly, but still)! Unfortunately he doesn’t want to extend a contract and may leave for free T.Malý *24g – started the season as a backup striker, but eventually became our second goalscorer and the best rated player. D.Klinka *26d – matched his own assisting record from the previous season (still waiting for someone to make 10 assists) and won the talent of the year award. L.Petržílka *26g – our best defender, I hope no one will activate his release clause and he’ll sign a new contract after the transfer window. B.Varga *26i – returned from loan and immediately won the competition for the second center-back spot. P.Kodr *26c – set the new club record in clean sheets and became second best young player in the league. Transfers – no departures from the first team. Youth intake (preview) Jambor *30a | Zakostelský *30b | Hřídel *30c | Hanzlík *30d | Verner *30e | Vágner *30f This was only an average intake, but Jambor looks like a great winger potentially. Another improvement for the youth facilities is on the way. And one funny thing to mention - isn't it a bit early to get this trait at the age of 16?
  25. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2028/29 We lost three first team players from last season – Macek moved to PSG, Križmanić was sold to Benfica by the board, setting our new transfer record (I only could negotiate a future sale clause), and Ellison missed around half a year with injury. So, predictably it was a worse performance this time, though still enough to stay clear of danger in the final stage. Also got this achievement on the last matchday. This game didn't decide anything and we lost it 3-4, still a nice milestone for our academy. Cup Had not enough squad depth to be competitive here as well. Squad stats M.Muxel *23a – our only player to have an average rating over 7… and most likely the next one to leave with a transfer request and one year under a contract Probably I’ll try to postpone this transfer for the end of next season, like I did with Macek. O.Sedláček *27a – unfortunately he isn’t developing at all, but became our top goalscorer this season. D.Klinka *26d – matched the club record in assists, playing on both wings and becoming our primary set piece taker. V.Matejka *24a – became a leading central midfielder after Macek’s departure, and what’s really important, signed a new three-year contract. P.Kodr *26c – yes, Ciupa is still a good goalkeeper, but I felt that it was time to trust in our youngster. Transfers – guess I made a mistake agreeing to sell Tsiaras before that forced transfer of Križmanić. It left us without a decent backup winger, but I just gave up trying to develop a casual player. Worst in training, unhappy with everything and never reacting well. Youth intake (preview) Vaněk *29a | Wiesner *29b | Volešák *29c | Skuhravý *29d | Bureš *29e | Stracený *29f | Beneš *29g Vanek can become a new key midfielder for us, defense and winger positions also got some improvement. The money we got from Benfica were used to improve all our infrastructure (the youth facilities are on the way and will be completed in July).
