ah thats very frustrating, Leverkusen wouldn't allow me to get any badges tried for 5 seasons and they never let me go on one course no matter how many times I asked or appealed it. Now i am unemployed I can't start them myself!

Sorry if this has been spoken about, I had a quick search but no avail.
Okay, i started off the game as sunday league footballer with no coaching badges as manager of Leverkusen, have completed my mini in game challenge that i wanted to do, win the league and the champs league and then resign.
5 seasons in, i won 2 bundesligas and finally the CL. Have just resigned, I cannot get a job anywhere? every club i register interest in laugh me off, french division 2 sides, Belgian sides.
My manager rep is still 2 stars, and i am still an unknown.
I have completed 5 seasons at a top team, won the CL and 2 x bundesligas, you would think i could get a job somewhere? I am not expecting to get a top job, but i am being dismissed for Caen, Antwerp, Rotherham, Celta. I haven't even managed to bag an interview yet - just that my application is unsuccessful.
I am not sure if this is a bug so not reported but just wondered why my rep is so low after those achievements and why I cant get a job! Appreciate my stats are low, but a champions league win I would think would be enough?
Anyone having similar issues, I am not sure what to do as this has totally killed my game right now.

August was good, tough opener against Arsenal but a hard fought win but September has been a disaster.
Newcastle game dominated the ball but gone done twice on the counter and our finishing was awful. Thought is was a one off after a cracking 4-0 win over Brighton and a good 1-0 win in our first game if the CL.
Luton was a disaster, their 3 goals - 2 corners and a handball from a corner that got Casimero sent off for a second yellow after 33 minutes.
Brentford - Onana got injured so brought on Bayındır and then he got injured so Mount went in goal as had no subs left and they scored 30 seconds later.
Overall, injuries are killing me, i have not had less than 8 players out injured since the start of the season it seems to be a rotation 1 fit and then 1 injured constantly. Hoping that when some of the longer term injuries clear up then i can get on top of player rotation.
Been changing between a 4-3-3 and a 4-2-3-1 not sure which i like best. I need my players back first i think to work out which is best. I prefer a 4-3-3 but the first 4 games where a 4-2-3-1
Having the same sort of issue, drew with city, beat arsenal, beat barca, got beat 4-0 by Burnley, 3-0 by Forest and 3-0 by palace. All away. Away form is absolutely shocking, trying to use a 433 and a 343 not really found the right balance yet.
Injuries shocking, had Onana out for the whole season so far and i am into November, Hojlund is in and out, same as a few others.
Tough gig this one! £6m to spend too and nobody wants the players. Cannot wait to turn this one round to how i want.

FC United - 2053
Well, well well. 30seasons - I have finally completed the challenge!!! Hope I make the Hall of Fame wall!
We ran out 3-1 winners in the champions league final against City (who won the league), I came 2nd. (Won league previous season)
Absolutely over the moon, with this challenge and the fact I have stuck with this from the start. first time doing something of this magnitude and I feel the biggest achievement of any FM, (have been playing since CM97-98!)
Bit of a photo dump here.
Next Steps, not sure to be honest. Would like to win more trophies, but also the squad only has 13-14 players who are good enough to compete - Potentially I may go on a spree and sign 10-15, 16-17year olds and go on a rampage with the cash!
Manager Stats:
(ignore the 2 players signed, these were signed on Holiday in the first pre-season as i forgot to turn that option off, instant released - I holiday pre-seasons due to no requirement to be there and speed!)
The Cabinet:
Yep, not much - performance in the two domestic cups have been shocking throughout! But squad depth isn't enough to complete all around.
CL final,totally dominated them from start to finish
I was top for the first few games, but City were top from about game 7 all the way. Couldnt keep up with the size of my squad compared totheirs with all the games.

To be honest, I never ever thought I would get this far, it takes me a while to get into a game on most FM's i need to have that feel, but for some reason with Fc United i just had it. I live quite near to Manchester so quite local too.
I did 20 seasons on FM22, but that was with wolves, boro, leipzig, barcelona and back to wolves.
After the first 13 seasons, i was still in Van North, and to win the premier league after 29 seasons is just incredible - I am so glad i stuck at this one, my first and only game of FM23 to date.
I have the stadium name after myself, would love to have a son now in the academy!
Currently playing in the Etihad while they put some more seats in to make it a 35k seater,
Cannot wait to get started in Europe, we have got £400m in the bank, obviously not signing players and quite small outgoings the money racks up so quickly. We are ranked 20th for turnover to wages, to win the title with that stat. amazing.

Hi guys, haven't updated much lately, just been plugging away in the background while being busy.
19th May 2052, remember the day. The youth products of Fc United of Manchester won the premier league on the final day for the first time in history, beyond proud of achievements, and for sticking to this challenge. I never thought a challenge of not signing a single player would be so fun, but I have never had so much fun as this game!
It was a really fun battle with Watford who dominated the first half of the season, but we were relentless in the second half.

remove all your scouts and staff that arent needed, and remove your scouting budgets to zero. and release all the players that you dont use or need. Suprised how much you can save by keeping it very tight for a few years. i also used some pre season friendly tournaments against bigger u21 teams, allowed me to get a bit of cash each season to tie me over for the season.

Wow, the great escape is well and truly on, we are back in the mix!
After 22 games we had 9 points, Huddersfield in 17th had 23!
I switched from the 532 that had stopped our rot, but then turned into a dreadful way of playing we couldn't do a thing, to a 4231 positive. and we have managed to win 4 in a row.
We are back in there!

England is incredibly hard, but the most rewarding IMO.

Still going horrifically here guys, if I manage to pull this one off i think I deserve a special trophy! I switched to a 5-3-2, which seems to have helped us slightly. In the fact we are conceding slightly less, and are countering quite well. The last two games i have been unlucky. Been in the lead and had a man sent off, to lose both times. was also 2-0 up against newcastle away, at HT, another red card. I ended up losing 6-2
If this was the season before, the 3 teams above me would have been on 12-15 points because they were very poor.

Incredible, does it get easier over time or harder? I am solely relying now on producing enough good players to be able to push in the premier league but there is not much else I can do. Feel like i will be relegated this season and then struggle to come back up the next season. and repeat! I guess there will be a time where everything just clicks into place like yourself.
How unlucky to lose the playoff after that.
I have always felt the champions league easier to win than the premier league. Too much money and too many good teams!

Think second season in the Premier League will be our last one, not sure i am going to get myself out of this one already starting to get cut adrift! the bad teams have been relegated the season before and I think this time there isn't 3 worse teams! Last year I had only won 2 games from the first 19 but I was still just outside the bottom 3 with how bad the other 3 were! this time Norwich have come up and they have a tycoon,. The rest are all premier league teams that seem to Yo-Yo.

So frustrating! I'm looking at it and I out number them, men behind the ball.. nope. I think I will always lose against them regardless.
I am not good at tactical switches either, I also wanted to create a 523/532, however no matter how I set up or what i do. just get beat either way.

FC United - Season 25 - 2047-48
The Promised Land
Well our first season in the Prem went alot better than I thought it would go. Media prediction of 20th, Anthony Connor retirement. I lost the first 5 games with a GD of -19
after 19 games we had won 2 of them. I switched from the 4-2-3-1 i was using, and went more 442 diamond with a DMC plus switched to cautious. Did the trick, we managed 8 wins in the second half of the season. Luckily, the other teams who came up were so bad they really helped keep me up. Stoke and Portsmouth were so bad. my points total of 36, would have got me relegated quite a few times recently i had a scan through previous seasons. Overall absolutely over the moon with the season.
Second season in prem: media prediction again 20th, expecting another tough but fun season.
Finances: healthy as anything - we now have £100m in the bank.
STADIUM: Well, they were planning on a new stadium after my recent upgrade got scrapped. Finally at the end of the season we got the message. they are building the Alex Barnsley Stadium, which has never happened to me in any FM before hand! currently a 2 season wait for it and I cannot wait to move in there. 24k seater. My facilities had a bit of a downgrade this year so i need to work on those again.
Other News:
I may have broke the rules on the game i am not sure entirely if this is allowed. But i was offered a series of international jobs after the recent tournement. Italy/France/Austria and a few more. Wales also did, my goalkeeper, centre back and right midfielder are all starters for Wales so i decided I would take over them
23rd in the world rankings, one place above Holland. But with a few of my own players, and a few more welsh youngsters in my youth system i can promote to use for them.
Best player watch - Dafydd Thomas probably the best player stat wise i have got and have had as a regen through my own academy. I really need to try and push the facilities higher to get some better players if possible. I feel a world superstar is waiting in the making somewhere I just need to be able to get hold of him! I guess Man U and Man C take most of the better ones.

Aye, he did retire, I couldn't convince him. Glad he is on the staff list now as Head of Youth development, i will try and get him onto U18s or 21s Manager at some point as he has interest in those roles .

That's it, i am fully expecting to come straight back down, but it would be amazing to have had a season there and to have given Anthony Connor his premier league shot. and i finally unlocked the national hero achievement on steam!
FInancially secure, alot of the team are on very low wages still so this will really boost our finances and keep us going again. If relegated will also get some parachute money too?
Man this is incredibly exciting.

FC United - Season 24 - 2046-2047 - English Championship
I am absolutely speechless! we have won promotion to the premier league, 24 long hard seasons and we have finally made it. We started well, and we just didn't fade away, the odd blip we did have, everyone else in the league had the same blip. Stoke were top for alot of the of the final stages, and Burnley were outside the playoffs, but they won every game pretty much towards the end. And we somehow managed to finish strong. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!
The goal scoring machine, Sir Anthony Connor - managed to find some form and was our top scorer for the first time in a few seasons, he turns 39 in a couple of weeks, no retirement plan just yet but I am hoping he doesn't just suddenly hang them up in the summer. He was in my first youth intake, and he has made it all the way to the premier league with me. He will hopefully got his chance to play premier league football!!! The Hero.
57 goals to go for 1000, i think impossible as turns 39 end of the month!
We had a decent intake and have probably found Connors long term replacement, meet Mr Schumacker, dubbed the new Gary Linekar,
Other news. the board cancelled our expansion to boost the stadium to 20k, and hit me with this news. Could this finally be the stadium named after myself I never had before! There is myself and my greek left winger as club legends, however i have never had an attachment to him, i will be gutted absolutely if they named the stadium after him! (Anthony Connor, isnt even a club legend)

FC United Update - 2046-2047 ( bit of a summary)
Sorry guys, just an update - I haven't been on here in a while totally forgot to come online, however i have been playing it in the background since my last update. We are now into season 24, currently in the championship. See below for the info on the last seasons - i am into my 7th Season in the Championship - we made the playoff final once and lost 2-1, the rest of the seasons we have been solid.
I must admit, this is my all time favourite game on Football Manager, I am not sure if this is ever actually going to be achievable - the premier league just looks insane, and complete luck now on getting players through the academy to be good enough to finally win a prem title and a champions league, for me my goal has been to get to the Prem and get a stadium named after myself. It has been such a refreshing game from my usual way of playing. From then on we will see! My motivation for this game is incredible, every aspect of it and I shall not give it up. I would like to get Anthony Connor managing the U18s or 21s at some point if he is interested.

However the last 3 seasons have finally caught up with him. Prior to that he was probably on for 1000 goals which is obscene, his current all time stats according to the club where are they now page:
1056 Games - 927 Goals - he will just not make it unfortunately due to the last few year decline
I am finally a legend on the club list, which is great as one day when we do get a stadium i will love it to be the Barnsley Arena.

I know I keep asking all these question, for some reason I just can't get going this year. I wanted to play in a nation that hasn't been completed yet, but I just can't get going. I started a save in Kazakhstan and it was going gteat, but then I realised that we weren't in the national cup for some reason. There must of been a bug in the file.

FC United - Season 18 - 40/41
Sky Bet Championship
Cant even begin to tell you how incredible that felt, It is what stories are made of! 21st against 22nd final day of the season, you couldn't make up that type of script. (we were 22nd), only a win would keep us up, we had a better GD just about. We were awful all season apart from the first 5 games we just struggled to do a thing, dropping into the bottom 3 with 4 games to go. Luckily there were 3 poorer teams and I think at some point i will go down as our intake has been poor for 4 seasons now, we haven't got much else to offer. Just a battle. This final game will go down as a classic either way - we lead 1-0 until the 87th minute where they equalised - infact it looked a mile offside you know when you can just tell it was off? well it gave the goal. we went down the other end and scored to make it 2-1, we could of added a third as they attacked. However in the 93rd minute, our defender decides to trip the striker. Penalty. well our heroic goalkeeper saved it and we survived! on the final day and final kick of the game. Those are the stories that keep you coming back for me. Think i will revamp my formation for the coming season, 4-2-3-1 we look way too open for this league, but there is so much quality and we have very little of it. Hoping the 3 teams come up are just as bad as it will be our only chance! Phew is all i can say!

First season in the championship. we are beavering about fighting away left right and centre! scrapping for every tackle and point. It is tough, and I haven't had a half decent player in 3 seasons or so now, could really do with something. I actually think i may go down here, we just can't put a win together and keep slipping and sliding down. We shall fight!

Well, update, i managed to get a job in the Belgian second division as Zulte Waregem who are willing to give me my C licence.
Has slightly killed the game for me after putting in 5 solid seasons and alot of hard work.
I wasn't expecting to be able get a top top job, but i thought i could get a top half of a top league job with my titles and CL win. I want to win the top league and CL in each of my loaded leagues, so now the plan is to get Zulte promoted, get my badges and try to win the Belgian league with them. 10 year CL plan, we will see how it goes!
Do agree though, should be a potential feature - i dont understand why I couldnt start coaching badges while unemployed.
Leverkusen have a lot to answer for, the quote each time. " we are selfish and giving you coaching badges would mean larger clubs would be interested"! now it does make sense!
